Çok ilginç! Teşekkür ederim :) I have an idea for another video too. I know you have done a video on -mıș and its conjugations but could you also explain the different ways it's used? Like iyimiș, -mișken, -miștir etc

Wow this is a hard lesson to learn 🙈I hear this word so often in spoken Turkish. So it is like a generalization or kind of like "use to" in English? There are a lot of other ways to use "olmak", right? Like oldu, olmaz... 🙈Could you explain these, too? I always enjoy your lessons! And this is my sentence : Kediler sevimli oluyor. All cats are cute! 🐈Çok sağol, görüșürüz in your next video! Love from Germany❤

Hi Katja, Thanks for your message and it is a great sentence. Kediler sevimli oluyor. You know, in Turkish we like to express the things a little more passionately. More naturally you can even say, "Kediler çok sevimli oluyor ya.". And yes, there are many ways to use "olmak" and i will cover them later slowly slowly. Thanks again for your support. Greetings to Germany.

@@TurkishJourney Ya is a word I often hear. Çok güzel yaaaaaaaa 😊But it doesn't have a meaning, does it? It just kind of makes the colour of the sentence a bit different? We have a lot of these words in German! Thanks for your answer - kedi çok çok sevimli oluyor ya! 🐈 Looking forward to more interesting lessons 👍

It does not have a meaning by itself but as you said it makes the colour of the sentence a bit different. Even the intonation of it. Aber könntest du mir bitte Bespiele geben? Welche Wörter gibt es? Ich würde sie gerne benutzen :) By the way, "Kedi çok sevimli oluyor" would not work in terms of generalization. When you use "Kedi" it becomes specific and then you can not use generalization. You need to say "Kediler or (for example "Beyaz kediler") çok sevimli oluyor ya." And if you would like to talk about a specific cat, then you can say "Kedi çok sevimli yaaaa."
