Love the way Emily talked about it. She didn't dance around it, she called them out and chastised them in the strongest terms.

It’s honestly baffling how they EVER thought approaching someone who cannot go and shop on their website privately to represent their brand and then offer them items that are then limited and on an extreme premium basis!!

Emily made a lot of good points there. Also respect to her for declining a sponsorship because she is not behind the brand. A lot of Athletes would take the money ( Honestly I think I would to) but then things never change.

I respect her decision, don’t make clothes for my body type and size, if you can’t do it for everyone else. I’m not going to help you sell your clothes if you’re not going to provide for people of my size. RESPECT.

I came up in the 80s, and at that time there wasn't sports wear for girls who were anything other than skinny. Specifically, no reliable sports bras for big boobs. I'm an athlete now, and Im amazed at how capable and strong I've become. But looking back, I just thought that I wasn't meant for sport because of my body. That barrier to access is real. Athleticism is for every human, and I'm so grateful for these advocates for representation! Gym Shark can suck it.

gymshark tried pivoting into the body positivity movement so much that they went from only having "bootybuilders" as their female representation to having bodybuilders and powerlifters (who look like bodybuilders) as their female representation because they're "bigger" and technically that fits into body positivity. their site still does not have people who look "normal," and I'm saying this as someone that has been struggling to shop from them since 2016 because they also only cater to people taller than 150cm

I thought you already released this last week?

2:24 "how can you make the step to go to the gym when your outfit looks like 💩?" Uhm..........its not a fashion show?...... as long as your bits are covered and its not covered in metal rivets that will destroy the seats, just go in whatever...... you're there to work out, not look pretty.

From a business standpoint it does make sense… majority of people that workout are a certain size, and there are people outside of that, but business are designed and are successful when accommodating the typical not the atypical
@gaia88404 ай бұрын
@@harryjesus-c5o eh false. Powerlifters, weighlifters, rugbymen etc anyone who does basically any strenght based sport you will find a lot of big guys and girls 😂 it has nothing to do with that, its mostly that its a brand for bodybuilders not athletes globally which is ok. Just say it like it is though

I tried their gear and I returned it because it felt/fit like shit!

It's a real sad thing when I think about it and in all honesty, I would RATHER be smaller and not as fit, than be bigger and look like these strong healthy Olympians who are WAY more fit? Like what the frick? I feel awful for this but it's the truth EDIT: I should clarify, this is not something I am happy about, I am doing my best to combat these thoughts

There's nothing wrong with you feeling this way. It's a personal choice for you in the same way it is a personal choice for the bigger, stronger ladies to stay a certain size.

Its ridiculously overpriced anyway
