Wasn't the men's 100m postponed due to the same weather - an event that's run on all weather surface and the runners have spikes. I'm guessing that happened because at some point a runner suffered a career ending injury due to the negligence of the governning body's rules. I guess that's going to have to happen in the throwing events before we all collectively agree that throwing in those conditions is a bad idea. On a side note - Tom Walsh's injury was a big shakeup

I firmly believe that the rain robbed us of something special. I get you gotta throw in the elements but man, I'd given anything to see rounds 4-5 in a dry ring. Good show guys! #banthesqueege

I hate to say this but Joe Kovacs thrw. Let me just say that I absolutely love Joe Kovacs, absolute beast with clean record and seems like a really nice guy but this was a letdown. It was great that he clutched up but it was kind of dissapointing that he only threw 22.15 with the other 2 throws he made only being high 21 meters. I get that the ring was wet but I'm sure that Joe is a bit dissapointed with only 22.15. His distance in 2019 would have beat him but that kovacs was a lot weaker and more inexperienced. Most of you may not know this but there was a time in 2015 or something where he threw 24.29 in a warmup, but in the competition itself, Joe threw 22.06 in a wet circle and that Joe kovacs was nothing compared to him today, I understand that the circle in the olympics was basically a pond but like come on. You can't tell me that Joe Kovacs didn't underperform. This is a man who has thrown over high 23 meters in training and even 24 meters. There were literally predictions of him breaking the OR or even the WR on this day but he was nowhere close. Joe throwing 22.15m is not "blasting it." It should be a casual throw for him. I personally don't think that you should be speachless when someone throws a pretty much bare minimum distance and underperformance. I don't want to sound like a hater cause I love this man but you guys literally made a video titled "Joe Kovacs is ready to throw 24 Meters in Paris" a month ago and now your saying that he made you speechless when he "blasted" a 22.15 throw? Like come on, I understand that the video title could be exaggerated for views but this just dosen't make sense. His Seasons best this year is 23.13 so far with him also throwing 23.03 in the same competition. This was arguabaly one of his best seasons ever, I mean, he didn't even need a SB to claim gold. Joe Kovacs kinda sold as this was arguabaly his greatest shot ever at olympic gold. I usually love your videos but this video was way to exagerrated and in general, just dosen't make sense at all. Claiming that he is a GOD is also just not the best way to describe him.

Unfortunately, I 100% agree with you. People are saying how the wet circle ruined him, I disagree. While yes, the wet circle affected everyone, Joe kovacs has thrown in wet circles before so its not like he is new to it. Ryan Crouser and Joe Kovacs actually shouldn't be to affected by the wet circle as their balance is so good that normally it wouldn't have massive impacts on results. I don't think that a 22.15 meter throw is for Kovacs is a "blast" it is more like a chuck. I mean this man literally said that this was the strongest he has ever been which is true hence the two 23 meters throw in that comp. I do not think that someone getting an average or even slightly poor distance should blow anyone's minds or leave anyone speechless. I am going to be honest and just say that Kovacs underperformed. You don't truly know who Joe Kovacs is if you tell me that he didn't underperform, this man is a freak of nature. This is a great channel and I'm sorry to say this but you guys exagerated and overeacted a bit to much to Joe's 22.15 meter throw.

Kovacs has form for winning the Diamond League final and Crouser has been a bit beat up this season. I can imagine Crouser somewhat winding down this season, with Kovacs hitting 23m again possibly for the DLF. Difference is Fabbri will be looking for blood as well, so not sure who to pick out of Kovacs and Fabbri for that title.

What happened to 23 meter Kovacs/Kovacs breaking the world record predictions? Hey I love Joe Kovacs, and I was hyped he clutched up and got a third silver medal…but given all the hype and expectations, wasn’t this kind of a letdown? I mean, Crouser threw exactly the same mark he threw in 2019, and in 2019 a weaker and smaller Kovacs smacked a pr to win. This time he claws back into 2nd place by winning a tiebreaker on countback with Rajindra, and all of a sudden he’s GOD? 😂 C’mon guys…

I knew Rajindra was going to hammer one. I competed against him in college for too many years and I knew that dude was clutch. He hits it when it matters

I'm not a shot putter obviously. But I have to say that they should have had some kind of rain cover. I would imagine they put all of their weight behind the throws. You cannot do that when the ground is wet! It's the Olympics! Why would there not be a cover? They wait 4 years to go! They either should have delayed it, or covered it. What are these people expected to injure themselves? It's truly horseshit.
