@@lukairrahe They're lifting someone out of the water, that takes much more force than moving someone in the water. Try holding a 10 pound weight in the air, then try holding a 10 pound weight underwater.

Bea F.M I won’t argue that figure skating isn’t corrupt, but their skaters are extremely talented and help pave the way for future skaters (first female to reach 80 in a short, first female to do quads in competition, Plushenko will be remembered as one of the best skaters....)

In all honesty it's still a bit funny even to people who love it. Female Olympians are forced to smile or there will be a point deduction, so a lot of the times these swimmers are making really ridiculous faces because they're pasting a smile over the face they're making for trying to see through the chlorine and not suffocate. There's also a lot of parts of Olympic sports like this that are less about visuals and more about technique and skill, like the part where they lift a girl up and she seems to just wildly flail her arms and leg, that make for some silly moments.

You put chapstick on your eyes and then put a layer of creme makeup, then a layer of powder makeup, and then you spray it with this clear overcoat stuff (not really sure what it is called I just know it burns if you open your eyes before it dries). And after all that it still comes off...

When my synchro coach was explaining fistails to us this morning she said: If you are low in the water you can get your leg to 'here' (about 75°) If your high in the water you can get your leg the full way down (about 90°) And if your russian you can get your leg to 'here' (uses her arm to demenstrate about 110°) 🤣The russians are so good they are completely off the scale😂

paul galazo stop comparing each sport has its own difficulties like gabby Douglas wouldn't be able to do this but they probably wouldn't be able to do what gabby can do, and I haven't tried every sport but out of what I have tried (gymnastics volleyball and swimming) I know there are a ton of differences and each of them are hard in there own way.

The most impressive thing or this whole choreography, is that they worked the pool like nobody's business. Many synchronised routines often have the team working in one sect of the pool. This was magnificent.

Чем меня поражают программы групп в синхронном плавании, так это своей сюжетностью! Это как за три минуты посмотреть захватывающий фильм! Наши девочки разбаловали меня )) Элементы, их сложность и компановка; музыка в гармонии с программой и образами; артистичность спортсменок и т. д. - это безусловно важно! Но если группа не рассказала свою историю, то для меня это разочарование... Это была одна из самых памятных для меня программ этих легендарных спортсменок!

im a competitive swimmer, and I do nothing like this- I compete in galas/competitions , which is completely different to synchronised swimming and I personally find synchronised swimming to be so beautiful it's astonishing how in sync and coordinated everyone is

I've been a swimmer my whole life, swam in college and all. I have to say that some of the most talented swimmers in the entire world are in synchro or water polo, but don't get a fraction of the respect. I guess something about fast and objective sports like track and swimming are really appealing, but the stuff these synchro swimmers do is actually mind-blowing to me.

Amazingly difficult, but beautiful sport. I thing it deserves much higher attention than it has.... I would compare it to figure skating. It's very difficult to swim without touching ground! for several minutes with artistic parts.
