@@henryhobert5761 Funny enough, I read somewhere at what distance would Kipchoge be competitive against peak Bolt, and most people agreed at 600m. Each athlete is beyond believe, but I loved that conversation because people treated each of them with the respect they deserve.

To be fair a 400m race is ran at a much faster pace. A long distance race is at a less intense pace.

I’m a sprinter. I ran 12.05 miles in 2 hours and was absolutely floored. I can only imagine what 40km in 2 hours feels like.

It was a bit disturbing watching some of the competitors succumb to the 30 degree heat and 70 % humility in Sapporo. Daniel Do Nascimento of Brazil 🇧🇷 comes to mind. 👊bumping with Kipchoge one minute and in crises 22 minutes later.

Nah, he says he puts on a smile while interviews and on camera. If you watched his Breaking2 when he rank 2hrs and 25 seconds, he look liked he was in pain and lied down, needing to be lifted up because minimal public interaction.

Watching the race live the two commentators were feeling nervous at the rate at which he was pulling away from the rest coz of fear that he may overheat.,, but i remembered that incredible world record race he ran in Berlin where he ran the second half of the race (20 kilometres) all alone and still set a world record,, his mental strength is unparalleled
