OM617 Conversion Series: Throttle Cable Adapter Breakdown

This an overview of the throttle cable adapters available for Jeeps and Toyotas. I can't stress enough how much happier you will be by retaining the factory linkage versus stripping it all off and attaching your cable directly to the "STOP" lever on the side of the valve cover.
Factory replacement throttle cables are available from major manufacturers. If yours is worn out, it's absolutely worth replacing it. I've had great luck with ATP Y777 for the Toyotas. It works as a replacement for both the 22R and 3VZE when used in conjunction with my bracket.

Great video, I am thinking of doing a conversion to my 1992 chevy s10 4.3. although the engine is still running at 191k, I have always dreamed of owning a diesel, any advice for such conversion. Edit: Ialso need to save some money and have time to do such thing.
