Oman Air and sultanate of Oman itself is so underrated, used to use them all the time to fly back home to Nepal from London. Unfortunately Oman Air now use their low cost subsidiary Salam Air to fly to Kathmandu from Muscat which kind of puts me off using them.
@VicariousVoyager7 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear that, I do wish that they had more routes, especially to North America since I think ultra-long haul would be where this seat really shines.
@upashah7 ай бұрын
@@VicariousVoyager it seems to be the way these days for flights to Kathmandu. Some Middle eastern airlines send their low cost subsidiary airline from their hub to Kathmandu since the world opened up after the COVID 19 ok pandemic - Etihad with Air Arabia, Emirates with Fly Dubai. And yes I think Oman Air will continue to expand their fleet, especially with this introduction to the one world alliance. So perhaps the ultra long haul days of Oman Air is coming, and I for one am all for it!

this was really neat to see. i will say this about the fish. i can understand if it was a bit dry. there is a greater risk of foodborne illness in undercooked fish, so i can forgive that, generally. also, in flight wifi, i have always found it iffy at best. these days, devices usually have more than enough storage to download content for a flight, and the in flight entertainment is also usually sufficient. also the fact that depending on the plane , the bandwidth of the connection is being used by 100 people. thats usually enough to make it crawl to a snails pace

During the boycott of Qatar in the late teens, I had to fly from Los Angeles to Doha to Muscat on Qatar Airways and from Muscat to Jeddah on Oman Air. Business class on a 787-8. Reversed on the return 10 weeks later. The service on this 6 hour flight looks great, but I don’t know how you found the time to sleep as well eat that food! I’m pretty certain I wouldn’t able to sleep being boxed in from about the knees up - far too claustrophobic with the wall and the window. The aisle seat looks much more open and spacious and it’s staggered from across the aisle.
