OMC Cobra upper oil seals replaced on the boat

• Install water pump adapter seal
• Install seal with Loctite
• Water in the oil
• Water flush kit
• Install flush kit
• Remove oil from upper
• Replace outdrive top lid
• Remove water pump cover
• Remove water pump bolts
• OMC parts required
• OMC tools required
• Tap water pump adapter plate
• Use bottoming tap
• Install pins
• Removing the water pump adaptor

Glad to know about the double seal mod, and you saved me a headache with the tip about hose water pressure when flushing or testing the engine on my new boat. My driveway hose is at street pressure which is 110 psi.

I have a question I have the same unit and are getting some gear oil leaking out from the 2 small holes on the right side of the unit if your standing right behind it . Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Wayne I have 1987 omc 800 v6 4.3 and the gear lube on lower unit is coming out with the water do you a have a video with that type of issue the model on sterndrive is 984210 lower unit pour water whe intake drain plug at the bottom Thanks in advance

Wait!!!! The other seal at the end of the shaft I have oil leaking out of it. How do I remove that seal?

The upper oil drain plug/cap is stripped...how would one correct this problem with simplicity..it is an Aphla One stern drive.

In tool and die we call those threads your putting in jack bolt holes
