I have seen a"nameless ghoul" doing a stomping thing in a newer Ghost live performance, BUT, I am sure it is NOT Omega. Unless it IS, BUT, I doubt it. I do wonder just what happened between Tobias and the old Ghouls. They were friends for SO LONG.

@@peachy8109 I MUST say that OMEGA (aka Martin Persner) IS very much LOVED, BUT, he is NOT in many Ghost vids after MAYBE 2017 or 2018. I am NOT clear as of which vids he may be in and not be in. I have seen that "Per Eriksson" has played the lead guitar (White colored LEAD Guitar) in most vids after 2016 -2017 once Omega had stopped being in Ghost. Martin is in MCC now, and GHost has had several other musicians playing, BUT REALLY, I am wanting to know just who the NEW Ghouls may be. I guess IF Tobias doesn't want to say just whom they are, as long as they are singing it all GREAT, and I can totally respect that.

Their identities are pretty much known but you can never be 100% sure. The only purpose of this video is to gain publicity to MCC. I understand that he deserves the recognition since he has been in a successful band BUT the fact that they hid their identities was one of the things that make/made Ghost so mysterious, so in that point of view this is a bit of dick move. Don't know what the background of his departure from Ghost is tho, and I would've done the same, because he isn't as known as he should be.

Because it kind of makes Ghost look like every other band, which is not their thing. Ghost's thing is to be a really mysterious show, and one part of that is the anonymity of the members. Yeah, we know pretty much who they are but they haven't made any public announcements about that. Yeah, he kind of deserves the recognition for being in such a successful band but hey, I think he knew what he signed for? Also, I don't think anyone in Ghost gives a shit about the very little revenue that MCC gives them. Ghost is like a hundred thousand times bigger band than MCC will ever be (not hating, just facts)

This is part of the MCC bio information, and its probably the best inside of what happened. And Im so happy this happened so we can have more music from MCC "Around this time the band Ghost was founded, and some of the members of MCC went along and away on what would be the ride of their lives; Worldwide Success, Tours, Recordings, Parties, A King turning to Gollum, Princesses turning to Witches and Glory turning to Insanity. MCC had been put to sleep as the there was no time, energy or visions to be spared or shared for anything else but Ghost. Meanwhile, that musical message in the bottle, once sent out to the seas of sound in a last manoeuver to reach out to anyone, someone or everyone, seemed to reach the shores both here and there. People from all over started to listen to MCC [Magna Carta Cartel]. Interest was shown. Letters were written (never meaning to send). Songs and Demands were heard. Then something happened. And now, Times have changed. Tick tock. Time to wake up. Time to run. MCC Lives."

Ghost definitely have a lot to prove with their next album. Unfortunately Omegas outstanding stage prescence cannot be replaced. It simply can not, and his way of handling his guitar on stage leaves us speechless. A lot of guitarists plays faster and more complicated, but the feeling of Omegas guitar handling as well as his theatrical moves on stage is what`s make him special. Just like Angus young, it`s hard to define what IT is, but you just now that it`s there. You don`t have to play the fastest to be the best (think about that all you shredders). There are hundreds of copies of copies of so called guitar heroes. Martin Persner is a very special artist and has nothing left to prove, just see all the love and respect he gets around the world. I hope you are well Martin, we will follow your work with MCC and TID. You've got IT big time!

That! He is an exceptional guitar player, and the swing he adds is not something Ghost will be able to emulate. They're done for me. I've felt Omega/Martin was the X-factor that drove the evolution of ghost that we saw in ~2013 to mid 2016 (you can strech it even further back, if you will). [He and the drummer that joined them at the time Meliora was being made/released.] Popestar was quite an obvious symptom - musically a step backwards compared to ,say, their previous EP "If you have ghost". I don't believe there is anything more Ghost will be able to come up with. Time will tell.

Uhmm. Is Tobias the main songwriter, lyricist, and arranger of ghost? I can imagine that he does all the instruments in the studio as well. I'm new to ghost, I heard about the band for years now, but I never listened to their music. Prequelle was like where I started. From their, I listened to their first 3 albums and etc. Prequelle for me has more songs that I like than the previous ones. But my all time fave song from ghost is from their 3rd, called Cirice. My point is, Omega was no longer with Tobias during the Prequelle era. That album is great to my ears. Tobias and ghost will live on with great music without Omega. But I feel sorry for Omega. I hope he will have success with MCC. More power to you Martin.

After nearly 10 years of no inspiration to play music I heard a song called "ritual" and for the first time in a long time I felt the need to pick up my SG and play again. Since then, I have had to re-teach myself a lot but through the process I've found something I've been missing for a very long time. Your talents in Ghost and Magna Carta Cartel has served as a catalyst in awakening a passion I lost long ago and for that my life has a renewed sense of joy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing what you do. I absolutely love your MCC work and I eagerly await your next release.

This man is an absolutely amazing rhythm guitarist. Ghost is the only band that when I'm learning how to play on the guitar, I choose to learn the lead and rhythm parts, because both are equally as fun.

Martin part of your act and your guitar playing is what got me into Ghost! Last night I saw the new lineup of Ghost along with Iron Maiden in Tampa Florida. It surely was not the same performance since when I saw you guys in Miami last year. Now listening to MCC...

A few things need to be said, I feel. 1. Martin Persner is one of the authors of Ghost's success. 2. He did this by contributing much of his identity (to a large extent, he is Ghost!) 3. Having been, allegedly, thrown out of Ghost, he's been robbed of the fruits of his work. This is something we are not able to know due to legal and, probably, a few other matters. Mister Persner, I have come to know your true identity because you drew me to yourself by the power of your artistic creation. Dude, to me, as an ordinary listener/fan, you were always the cool guy in the band. I am energized by the company of thousands of people who recognize a genuine artist that you are. It most likely pulls you back a few years in terms of music career development, but with patience and a good gameplan along with your quality execution - whatever you decide to do, you will succeed. Cheers, mate!

Tobias (Papa) actually did most of the work for Ghost. The lyrics and everything. There's a reason he fired them, he did most of the work: executive decisions, ghost interviews, writing song lyrics, etc. He wasn't "robbed of the fruits of his work", he was fired because he rarely helped Tobias. However, Omega did bring much energy and life when Ghost performed life, but so did Alpha, and Alpha is still there.

There is an eternity of songs that you won't remember for anything. I am curious to find out who, if anybody, was the X-factor in Ghost's success, but I am afraid there is no answer cause that might have been synergy/convergence/magic (something to remember their music for) of the lineup at that time. You may be right as to the extent of Papa's input; the songs are his, that's for sure. Nonetheless, what about, say, solos? Just listen to Square Hammer, when they were in transformation procces (Alpha still there, but no Omega); there are two solos in the song: Alpha's and one that was originally intended to be Omega's (but he wasn't there anymore); I may be wrong but I feel this second solo speaks for itself. Martin/Omega has a distinctive swing that isn't something you can easily get from any substitute guitarist, not to mention that you need a strong groove foundation from drummer and bassist (oops, those guys are gone too).

I met Martin after the Ghost show in Stroudsburg, Pa on April 14th. This is definitely him. I was part of the vip meet and greet and I was in a room with just them and told them something...after the concert he (martin) commented on what I had told them backstage. Yes, this is definitely him. he was fucking awesome.

I wonder if Klas Frans Ahlund's muscling in on songwriting credits has anything to do with the Ghost departure? "Indio" contributed writing to some of the best songs. Meliora was the most collaborative of the albums, and is one of the best albums in rock history IMO. Nothing fucks up music more than the music business.

So happy I got to see you several times, but to many Ghost fans you were "Stompy" fittingly so. Either way totally love MCC and had it on my phone since last year. Tried to show Par Glendor in Green Bay at the Watering Hole, eventually I did get to show him after the show out by the bus. I was more than stoked that he was there and I got his autograph right on the horn of the ghouls mask on my Heavy Music Artwork magazine. hehe (He said I was the first person he met in the US that had heard of MCC, not sure if that was true or he was just yanking my chain) But so so so glad to meet him and that you all are releasing more music.
