Ferrari is a much worse purchase than an Omega though. Get a sexy 60s muscle car for 1/20th the price, and with the money left over buy 2 houses to rent out as they go up in price naturally instead. Then you can buy all the Rolex's and Omega's you desire. Sometimes rent on a house is even bigger than the mortgage so you can get people to pay your mortgage for you.

What's the yield? Maximum you can return is 5% per year. You need to make sure you have a good tenant. Sometimes the tenant will leave after a year or 2, than you need to repaint and find a new one, so you will have few months empty house, flat, etc... So technically you never make more than 4% per annum. Just buy shares of Daimler AG they pay you 6.5% dividend and you own shares in one of the best companies in the world, they sell Mercedes-Benz, the best car in the world. Forget about real estate if you are not a pro. I am in Real Estate business and I know what I am talking about. It is a scam business. The only ones who make money are people like me, we are called the flippers. We buy a land for a small deposit usually 10%, I change the zoning, and I sell the land for multiple of 4 or more. Developers buy the land from me with zoning in place and the bank than take all the risk that they will build and manage to sell. Stay away from real estate and never own a house. It is a scam.

Anthony Mowbray the helium escape valve is an icon as much as it is a nuicense. no one dives with a bell but without it, there is no seamaster. As far as accuracy goes omegas internal standard is stricter than cosc, and the coaxial movements are so beefy you're unlikely to break them any less than Rolexs. The alternative escapement just needs very little lubrication and in very specific places so you really need to send it to someone who knows what they are doing.

Tim, I've seen several reviews from you. You are awesome, You really give a good and detailed approach to every watch you talk about. But you don't actually WEAR IT. you just hold the straps with your other hand and tighten them. That makes every strap embrace your wrist perfectly, but sometimes that's not the reality. Sometimes the strap isn't that flexible, sometimes the buckle doesnt work so well. For guys like me, COMFORT is everything, so actually seeing you wear the watch for real and only them show how it sits on your wrist without holding it tight with your right hand would really help....would make it more real. other than that, your review is perfect

Finally got my Bond watch (a.k.a my Grail watch)! Loved this since i couldn't even remember but still no watch is perfect. The braclet is a bit sharp on the edges. Hmm..any other bad comments? Nah! Oh, they probably used diffusers during this shoot coz this watch is probably one of the more shiniest thing i have ever owned or worned. It blings from any angle..not that im complaining. It is gorgeous!

This is the best quality seamaster pro yet. The black is more versatile (and also matches the date wheel) but the blue is more sporty. The only drawbacks this watch possesses are the skeleton hands and tacky 'He' on the escape valve. Rather than saying helium it should just have an Omega logo like it used to...but thats just my opinion. For those considering this as their only piece, go for black, but if you will be adding this to your collection or starting a collection, blue is sort of the 'famed' seamaster pro color.

u cant see the Helium escape valve writing anyway, not can anyone looking at your watch from a normal distance. so, to me it does not matter. i like the blue better, that is a subjective call. i like the hands, they look black in the sunlight. i got used to them and like them. mine is about 2 secs fast per day, very acceptable.

The elevation of materials, finish, engineering, and value is staggering. And all that was accomplished without altering the core look of a watch that's increasingly considered a modern icon. The bracelet is not secured by screws at all. The pins are still in there. The screw is only at each end, which saves cost.

I am looking at getting a watch much like this one. The only problem is that I have very small wrists (6.5 inches) and was wondering if this size watch would suit me. I'm looking at getting my first luxury watch. I'm between this, a breitling colt, and a tag heur caliber 1887 and maybe a used Rolex oyster perpetual or date just . I've been leaning towards this but I'm just uncertain. I've been buying 100-500 dollar automatic bulovas, Seikos, invictas, etc. Any guidance would help.

I'd go for the Omega then maybe move up to Rolex in a year or 2 when u have more savings and also more knowledge /experience. That's the safest way to do it I reckon. I'd skip the tag and colt altogether. they're not on the same level as the SMP or OP. I'm doing pretty much the same thing myself right now. I have a 2016 Seamaster 300m which was my first luxury watch and I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with it. Maybe In a year or 2 I'll probably move up to a 39mm Explorer 1 but I'm in no rush. Not with this bad boy on my wrist!

After 2 years, the screw inside came loose and the movement stopped working. I sent it back to the service centre and they told me that hard shaking can cause the inner parts to be tangled. I had never dropped my watch nor had any sort of impact. I told the service centre staff that my 7-year old $100 seiko automatic watch is more hardy than the coaxial movement as I could shake it however hard and nothing in the seiko would come loose. For a diver's watch, I find the omega seamaster pro a disappointment sad to say.

Hi Jimmy, I think the blue watch is the one to get. It's closer in character to the original from the 1990s, and I always felt like that model was an Omega all-time great. Plus, the black date disc is tough to distinguish from blue when viewed at a glance. The camera that I use exaggerates the contrast with the dial color. Both versions of the SMP 300M are awesome, so the best way to decide would be to try each in person and then make the call. Best, Tim

They removed them unfortunately. I have the metal nub on mine aswell. it is cheaper not to have them. Now Tudor use them and likely to see there way into Rolex bracelets in the future they will probably bring them back. Who knows. The ceramic balls reduce wear so they have taken a step back with our versions buy they are saving money by not having.
