The old generation Seamaster has a 41mm dial unlike the new generation which is 42mm in diameter. The old Seamaster has a solid caseback and the new Seamaster has a see-through caseback which allows you to admire the decorated movement, decorated with Geneva waves in Arabesque.
The old version has the date window placed at 3 o'clock, but on the new generation Seamaster, the date window has moved to the 6 o'clock position.
The new Seamaster has a push-extension system that allows you to adjust the size of the bracelet without any tool sin several positions. The old generation only has a diver's extension system.
The new Seamaster is equipped with a Self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement. Certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. Free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, automatic winding in both directions. Rhodium plated finish with Geneva waves in arabesque.
The old Seamaster is equipped with the Omega caliber 2500 which is a Self-winding chronometer, Co-Axial escapement movement with rhodium-plated finish.
