This is my favourite of the bunch. It's actually the one that is closer to the watch that inspires it, the Dark Side of the Moon, which is also all black and ceramic.

I just bought this watch. It’s very good looking. That being said, it’s a weekend/occasion piece. The lume is terrible, there is no date window, and the crystal is crap. But it looks the business in a stealth color which is why I bought it. Put a nice Zulu Diver rubber or canvas strap on it and you have a real winner. If you have a collection that you rotate, this watch is good looking enough to consider IMHO.

Hey Joe, thank you for sharing this one. I think the important thing here is perspective. As long as we have a reasonable expectation that what we have here is much much closer to a Swatch than an Omega, then I believe we will find these MoonSwatchs fun and enjoyable. My biggest concern is with how delicate the plastic crystal is and as such these need to be worn and handled extra carefully. This option is the one for me, I’m more into getting the real Omega Moonwatch, not the look alike MoonSwatch… The Mercury option is cool, all the grey, black and strap are in perfect match!👍🏻🔥

This was the first color variant I was interested in, but I quickly gravitated (no pun intended) to Mission to Pluto. Something about that color combo just looks cool! By the time these are available online, I may be over wanting one altogether, though!

It wears better if you swapped the straps to their opposite lugs (with the omega buckle on the top of the watch). Doing so also flips the Speedmaster text around, as you wanted in the video. I saw Fratello did this on a couple of theirs.

As far as value for money goes, I'm sorry but this quality doesn't do it for me. I understand where they were going and what they were attempting, and as well I understand the appeal of all of these to enthusiasts and collectors. However, I recently bought the Seiko Arnie, and the SNE499 solar PADI for $289 each new and spending pretty much the same amount on a 29g Swatch isn't super appealing to me personally. I'm with you Adrian. I see how people can have some fun with them but when I hear 260.00, I just don't see it. My new G Shock was half of that and its bluetooth enabled using my phone as an atomic time server to remain accurate. Step tracker, dual time , etc etc.

Nice video! Two observations. You'd need to be careful not to scratch that expensive case when using the spring bar tool. The Mercury lume is definitely a bit stronger than Uranus, but that's because Mercury is far closer to the sun.😐😉🤣🤣

In regards to looks sure. If you’re looking for G-Shock durability, there is no comparison. The G-Shock handles whatever punishment you give it plus you can go swimming with it. The Swatch is a watch you have to “baby”.

These watches with their easy to scratch glass are NOT changeable. They are laser fused into the casing. If you scratch them to the point of not able to buff out, throw away the watch and get a new one! They should bring out new variants of this series; mission to a black hole and mission to Hell.

Apparently, the plastic crystal is actually fused to the case and so cannot be replaced, and it can be scratched just by getting it out of the packaging - dreadful! You can polish it out with the right stuff, but why should you have to?

You can get a Seagull 1963 for $200 and it’s a quality watch. The Moonswatch is attractive looking but it seems like trash.

The Mercury and Uranus versions look great, but that plastic crystal (that apparently you can't even change out) is a complete deal breaker. $260 is an absurd price for a watch that can get scratched by the box it's shipped in.
