I’ve seen gold come out of a stanus test like that. Culprit was iron. Solution is citric acid and time. I recovered 2g of gold from a similar test, used sodium meta bi sulfate also

22:00 I'm pretty sure you said at one point in time Jovan's stuff had platinum bonding layers in there somewhere. That's probably where it came from?

Leaving solutions overnight or longer, seems, many times, to result in strange reactions occurring. If possible Mike, I would avoid leaving them in future. 👍

BEFORE aqua Regia, burn filters and do a leeching method to remove BASE METALS. You will have far fewer problems.
