People often feel like they are falling short despite giving it their all, so he may not have needed to say it, but maybe he felt like he did. I feel like it's a good reminder that the people who love us are always trying their best, and sometimes we don't see it.

I love that line because it shows just how much Octavia doesn't understand, it's just so untrue. Stolas has dedicated pretty much his whole life to his daughter, so she could have the childhood he was denied. He suffered for so long, and the only reason he's finally doing things for himself is because she's grown and he found a crumb of happiness in Blitz. I am certain that if Octavia had been even just a few years younger, he would have been way more conflicted about the situation with Blitz and Stella.

He is so much better to Octavia than Paimon was to him. Nobody ever mentions this but compare his childhood to hers. He cries, his dad tells him to stop and calls him a bitch. She cries, Stolas uses his powers to sing her a beautiful lullaby. He shows excitement, he gets scolded. He encourages her to be more happy and open with her emotions. His dad takes him to the circus over mirror zoom. Stolas actually goes with her. Stolas wardrobe is hand picked for him by the butler. Octavia is allowed to dress herself and not look "royal," but like a normal teenager. Her room both when she was younger and now have her art and drawings on the walls. Stolas' childhood room had nothing of the sort. Even in the fancy portraits on the walls, the only one of Stolas and his dad is his dad again on the zoom mirror while Stolas poses, while there's a beautiful portrait of Stolas and little Octavia smiling together while he uses his powers to make a little swirl for her. Stolas remembers his daughter's fucking name. There are SO MANY differences

The Loona and Octavia moment is extra precious if you listen carefully to the background soundtrack. It has a very soft version melody of 'you'll be okay' In it. Imps can't do magic. They're considered the lowest life forms in hell. That's why they don't transform. Imps aren't meant to go topside. It's only because of a powerful goetic prince they are capable of this in the first place. Hellhounds are just treated as pets or guard dogs. Hence why Blitz adopted Loona from a pound of all places.

Blitz looks at what m&m have and he wants that so bad. The song at ozzie's spells out a checklist of "the perfect relationship" and one if those things is definitely fulfilled by Stolas by being the only one who genuinely thinks Blitz is funny and is always there to laugh at his stupid jokes. Dude, you tearing up makes me cry with the scene all over again. That's why I love these kinds of videos. I love seeing people's genuine reaction which helps bring the emotion back to the scene when you get numb to it after watching it over and over if that makes sense. If you go back and look at all the background characters, the main thing you realize is Octavia actually killed Brandon Ragers while popping out of the portal. And then she walks through a completely different crime scene. You'll even see the dude who freaked out over Verosika so he's the first recurring human character. Along with a bunch of other funny bits in that scene.

The scene with Loona and Octavia has got to be one of my favourite moments in the show so far. They definitely have that older sister and younger sister bond forming between them. I really hope that they have more screen time together in future episodes. Also, loonas' backstory is so sad. We don't know how many families she's been with only to be sent back over and over again to the adoption centre. This had caused her some form of trauma and major trust issues which you can see with her and Blitz. And we don't know how long she's been there I'm guessing most of her life. Finally when the adoption lady said she'll be out of our hair when she ages out doesn't mean she'll be put down it means once she reaches 18 she'll be chucked out on the streets to fend for herself. 😢

Blitz really is the best father in the whole show, even better better than stolas. He never fucks up MAJORLY with her. He only takes whatever affection or love she gives on her own terms. He knows she's had a tough life and it might not he easy for her to get her walls down. He never forces her to call him dad or lords the fact that he saved her by adopting her over her, but will proudly call her his daughter and never lets anyone assume she is his pet hellhound and treat her shittily.

this episode has me convinced that the reason loona always insults moxxie, especially the her calling him fat bit, is because she's projecting. hard. we saw the woman runing loona's orphange/pound and she's rather heavy set. in the past she probably couldn't stand up to her without being punished, so now that she's out of there, loona's unloading all her pent up agression towards her on moxxie, whenever they get into an argument.

I find the message about dads/moms in this episode well intentioned, but also dangerous. In the shows context its fine, because we know Blitz actually cares about Loona and Stolas about his daughter but just forgot, because it was bad timing with the divorce and the event overlaping. But sadly, in reality it is more often than not, exactly like it seems... if he/she really wanted to be a bigger part of the childs life, they would be there... decade long promsises are maybe the exception from that
