Ah but his father’s lessons did get to him! Blitzø is just the exception. Stolas, due to how he was raised, unknowingly perpetuates the discrimination that imps face. We see it really early on with Blitz (referring to him as his “little imp” and baby talking him and pinching his cheeks and putting a cigarette out on his horns etc) and also with MnM (referring to them as the littler ones and being dismissive of them). We even see it with his butler. I love Stolas but he is definitely the result of his upbringing, though he is learning and growing as the series goes on. It makes me really admire his character arc and growth! ❤

I've heard somewhere that the Goetia royals like Stolas, Andrealphus and Vassago are all Paimon's kids, each from a different mother -- it accounts for the difference in both appearance and power between Andrealphus and Stella, even though they're described as siblings. So it might not be _just_ a headcanon.

Well said! You understand the full dynamic between Stolas and Blitz better than most. So many people blame either of them for what's wrong and call the relationship "toxic", and it's frustrating how people just don't get it.
@user-Manchot_Empereur5 ай бұрын
Their relationship is toxic (at this point) But it's not one's fault more than the other. They're just two non-foncionnal characters (bonus self-destuction) who love each other but are not able, in their current state, to have a working relationship.
@sarafontanini70518 ай бұрын
the sad part about the second flashback is how it really says a lot about blitzo's and stolas' relationship now: Stolas beleived that blitzo had come due to wanting the same connection as stolas wanted, but all blitzo wanted was the book. There are cracks showing blitzo does feel SOMETHING for stolas, but he buries that under his instance that the relationship is transactional and his beleif that stolas just sees him as a toy, which allows him to feel nothing as he's the one who's using stolas, not the other way around. Stolas has a lot of social power as a noble, but he will never use that power because he loves Blitzo too much, leading him to do things for blitzo's benefit such as let him use the grmoire. And in the wake of Ozzie's and reflecting on the past, Stolas has come to a conclusion: that blitzo doesn't love him and merely feels obligated to stay around. So he may be looking for a way to end the relationship (this was a huge theory when this episode dropped due to people looking at the shot of the book showing the asmodian crystals are a way succubi use to visit the human world, the theory being stolas is looking for something blitzo could use instead of the grimoire and thus not be tied t stolas anymore)

With the way that the pieces have been falling into place over this season, and with the clips in the trailer that haven't happened yet, I have a sneaking suspicion that Andrealphus is plotting to take Stolas's position as part of his involvement in Stella's divorce scheme -- without his title as a Prince, Stolas's options for supporting himself would be pretty limited, and there's really only one place he's familiar enough with to even _apply_ to work at. It's still up in the air, but closing out Season 2 with a callback to the first episode would work _really_ well from a narrative standpoint, and having another employee who can handle receptionist work would free up Loona to participate in missions more often.

Actually she is a VICTIM like Stolas. A victim of the Royal lessons and a marriage of convenience for someone she doesn't love. The only person she, like Stolas, could love and care about was Octavia, and many thought she didn't think or care about her, but she didn't. Even more than that, she wants to take her under her wing and help her. She was just insulting Stolas for the sake of her image, but things could have gotten worse when her daughter was already an adult. Prior to that, she was more than able to support relationship, but then Stolas cheated on her, insulted her in front of her friends, put all the honor of their family under the knife, and she did not find anything better and just decided to get even with him for the years of her life taken from her, how to really put him under the knife by finding and hiring a killer and even probably providing him with the necessary weapons. No, I'm not defending her or justifying her, but I'm just evaluating and understanding the character.

What's funny is, Paimon isn't ACTUALLY that bad of a dad. A forgetful busybody and kind of an uppity elitist prick, but I mean... the man is some kind of shapeshifting _fuckmaster_ with probably ALL KINDS of _literal legions_ to lead. Apparently, he's one of the more _loyal_ royals under Lucifer, so... it kind paints him as a workaholic. So all things considered, he DID make time for Stolas, DID go out of his way to comfort him, DID help lift his spirits and clearly, paid attention to his needs. He didn't abuse or manipulate Stolas, unlike some _other_ fathers we've seen- just grooming him for his role. Who knows, we might later see Paimon was _just like him_ as a boy, and _accepted_ his *non-negotiable* role. But that's just a guess on my part.

Ahhh Satan Omni, I cannot WAIT for you to finish what's released of this season. You have such amazing insight already! Blitzø's story/background is so much deeper than what you've already gathered. Be prepared, while there will still be lots of laughs, there will also be *pain*. Especially if like me, you have issues with emotionally unavailable family. I'm here if you need a shoulder 😊 lol

Everything about what you said Stolas is working through is right on the money!! Even Blitz! You are not ready for this season and to see Stolas breaking through that 😈😈😈 Oh!! You are right about Fizz too!! You are analyzing everything SO freaking well!! Good job!! You’ll see more of Fizz’s discomfort of violence later in the series, that part stays true to his character in the show!

Say hello to Paimon and Cash Buckzo! Stolas and Blitz's fathers, respectively...and surprisingly NOT the worst dads in Hell. ...yes, there are worse. One interesting bit about this episode is that the rendition of Owl in a Cage was done as a single take. Both Bryce Pinkham (Stolas VA) and Richard Horvitz (Voice Director) thought that the song needed to be a single take, and the voice breaks you hear are real as a result.

Stolas’ dad is Paimon, true head of the Ars Goetia in demonology, and more importantly, played by Jafar from Aladdin. Viv really likes getting Disney stars.

I love Stolas when he sings, always makes me want to cry. On that subject do you think you could react to “Just look my way”? Doesn’t give any spoilers and I think it’s relevant to the last few episodes and how Stolas feels about Blitz. :)

it does give spoilers, in the visuals and in the lyrics, so it's best watched after episode 7 as intended tbh. That will give the most emotional impact and he won't be confused about the plot and relationship progression lol

Something interesting to me is that if Blitz had actually stolen the grimoire there's no way he'd have been allowed to keep it, we've seen that Stolas is super powerful even without it and takes his job seriously. So by him feeling guilty and going back to Stolas, that actually allowed him to use it long-term

To be fair, Stella didn’t choose Stolas either. Her problem is abusiveness

No, but Paimon in actual demonology lore, which vivzie tries to remain as close to it as possible (even using the actual sigils used to summon them like in truth seekers when stolas uses the copses to make the blood circle to conjure him), he is stated to have that many children. You will see more sigils when this series continues. There was one in ozzy's for asmodeus on the floor where fizzy was doing his opening bit.

18:59 No, because if Blitzø was only there for JUST the Grimour, why’d he claw after Stolas as he walked away? I guess it was at first the idea to ask him, sure, but as seen later on in this episode, Blitzy was trying to get the book WITHOUT Stolas noticing that it went missing at all. Seriously though, if it was all just for the book, why have Blitzø galk at Stolas as he left the room after putting the book back?

@napofagalaxy8 ай бұрын
Yet another reaction from you with great insights! This season definitely dives deeper into back stories and explains so much about why these characters are the way they are today. It was so interesting to see that while Blitz always liked blood and darker things, he didn’t even think about stealing until his father goaded him into it. That definitely set him up to consider stealing the grimoire all those years later. I also love that you pointed out how young Fizz was a little softer and not interested in gory stuff. That, along with how sweet young Stolas was, felt refreshing to see from characters in hell, and was a reminder that being born there doesn’t automatically make someone a bad person. Just like you said, Blitz and Stolas both want genuine connections, and it’s so unfortunate that the way they grew up (especially with a major difference in social class) caused these rifts between them practically before they even met. Also I’m sure you’ll get other comments about it, but there’s an official music video called “Just Look My Way”so heads up for that if you want to record it ahead of time before the con too! It’s technically a stand-alone, but it fits into the Season 2 storyline after episode 6 or 7.
