Thrawn is a master strategist, is amazing at predicting people's behaviour, and understanding their cultural influences by studying art. The biggest thing to stymie that would be someone being unpredictable. Even then, he has methods to work around known unpredictability, but that means if someone who behaves in a more logical pattern goes off that pattern, it could throw him a bit.
@McSireson
@McSireson Жыл бұрын
@@TheMimiSard And that's one thing about the Force, it is highly unpredictable even to those who wield it and understand it, and with Baylan seemingly being guided by it on this journey he's making, it would be hard for Thrawn to see that coming.

I liked a lot too, but to me Ezra's fight sometimes seemed goofylike. I sensed Ezra a pacifist and this is nice, but he needs to watch out to not look like Jackie Chan (that I love) fighting. It worked for me mainly because of the environment, the little creatures, but in other context I think the moves could be more incisive.

I love the part where Mon Mothma says "Put your personal feelings aside, and don't deny you have them. How real is the threat of Thrawn's return?" It shows how Mon isn't blind to Hera's commitment to saving Ezra, but she is willing to accept Hera's feelings and allows her to go on these unsanctioned missions for the betterment of the New Republic as a whole

24:48 I didn’t even think about that parallel. How Sabine and Shin are truly complete opposites. Sabine is stubborn and independent and wants to do everything her way. Shin is loyal and listens and obeys her master. One is force sensitive and one is not. Sabine is saved by her master when it mattered and Shin was completely abandoned by hers. Very interesting…

Baylin to Shin: “Impatience for victory will guarantee defeat.” To me, it reflects Obi-Wan to Anakin: “Your need for victory, Anakin, it blinds you. You’re a great warrior, Anakin, but your need to prove yourself is your undoing.” (Kenobi ep 5) C-3PO has now joined the Camaro crew!! The mention of Ventress is like the appearance of Zeb. What we want to see and what they might give us. This can go on for a good long time!! We can only hope!!

21:45 Everybody mentions the practical, out-of-universe reason for C-3P0's appearance (i.e. RIP Carrie Fisher), but think about it from an in-universe perspective. Not only was her solution to the issue a power play, but the way she delivered it was itself a power play. Like, "I'm about to politically bodyslam you, but your machinations are so insignificant compared to my level that it doesn't even rate on my schedule: here's my droid."

I truly believe that she was in an unconscious depression until her time with Anakin. Sure she'd smile and joke, but underneath was still the stoicism. Now she seems like a burden has been lifted. Now she's free. And you can see it in how she interacts with Huyang, Sabine, and Ezra.

Loved the sequence of Ezra using the Force to hold back Shin's lightsaber attacks. Guess if we are counting power levels Sabine is a (struggling) Jedi Padawan, Ezra is already a Knight and Ahsoka is clearly a Master. 🙂 Also guess Baylan is the one who will stay behind to look for whatever the Zeffo (?) left behind on Peridea. And everything is going according to Thrawn's plan, to keep the heroes away from his barely holding together ship while they load whatever is inside those containers so they can leave.

I saw some people hating on Sabine's "That's what people say," in response to Ezra asking if the Emperor died, but when you think about it, even without the events of Episode 9, Luke was the ONLY person to come out of that throne room in ROTJ (Vader was too injured to count, and he didn't make it off the ship anyway). Luke was the only person who could actually recount what happened to anyone, cause it's not like Anakin's force ghost would've been interested in doing the job lol. It was literally just. One dude. Most likely submitting a report to a council or intelligence committee that would go on to support the New Republic, but like. One direct recollection of the Emperor's demise. In a galaxy of BILLIONS of living creatures, hundreds of planets, and so many different things going on... Talk about intergalactic telephone lol. So, it's extremely feasible to me that a lot of the other people and creatures living in the galaxy would have different takes and opinions on what happened to Palpatine -- and I can guarantee the Star Wars galaxy probably has some equivalent of conspiracy theorists who never really believed the Emperor died, and they would've been right to a certain extent lmao.

With Shin, if you think about it, all she knows is the master and apprentice role. As flawed as the Jedi were they still were an order, not 2 people, and believed in power in numbers and being stronger together. With the New Republic, I get more and more annoyed with their continued complacency and general incompetence to the point I was literally yelling. Thank goodness that 3PO came along to shut that shit down when he did. But probably my favorite part of this episode was the reunion of the Rebels characters on screen. Of course, the other two are missing at the point. Hopefully we get a full reunion by the end of the season. I also enjoyed the rematch between Ahsoka and Baylon. It felt more balanced this time and equal. Can’t wait for their next confrontation. Also glad that Ezra still got his skills and wasn’t rusty while living with the tribe too. Was nice to see him kick some ass again but was hoping to see him use a lightsaber again though! Thrawn continues to show why he is the genius that he is and why he is respected as a character. I always loved how he speaks in such an ominous and yet, civilized tone. It gives you the creeps but at the same time, this is the kind of guy that you would want to engage in conversations about things. All and all, great episode!

It's obvious Filoni did not create Baylan as a one off character. He is building Skoll to play an important role in his Star Wars universe. It's unfortunate Ray Stevenson is no longer with us. I think recasting is inevitable but probably too soon for Filoni to speak out. It will be a tough act to follow since Stevenson had put a stamp on the character but the story is bigger than an indiviudal actor and that's the reality.

I feel like Baylan's and Shin's parting of ways is a very smart play by Baylan that also shows he's not a Sith. If they stayed together Shin's betrayal was inevitable as many reactors have noticed. She acts more Sith than him, ruled by ambition and power while he's beyond that. So he acted preemptively and separated before the conflct between master and aprentice even started. I also feel his fight with Ahsoka was out of fondeness for Shin, giving her time to attain her goals.

Ive said it for weeks but it makes sense for Filoni to open up a new expanded universe using all the talk of power, possibilities, old jedi tales and stories about this galaxy. It makes sense not only for creativity but also for profit. Fans old and new will have their interest peaked with these new characters and galaxy. I think this season will end with Ahsoka and Baylan being left behind. Ahsoka never needed ezra. She just needed Sabine to help find Ezra so that Ahsoka gets Thrawn. The same happened in this episode too. Just using Sabine to get to Thrawn and not to save Ezra. So with Ahsoka's mission flawed - Thrawn is returning, I think she'll end her story here whether through death or choice. Baylan stays and stories are told of the past and the present.

The one thing in all of this that makes me giddy, Thrawn being back means all hands on deck and Luke and Leia can not sit this out, we are getting more of them both going forward, and that’s exciting. Depending on Ben’s age, we could even see Leia with a saber in action. We could end up with an Ezra, Sabine, Shin running storyline that gives us a lot of on going conflict. Ezra sees Sabine as a sister,If he forms an interest in Shin, Sabine is not going to like it. Bay lawn is answering a call from something Thrawn and the sisters are running from. Ezra joins master Fay in being one of the few Jedi so connected to the force, that they don’t use weapons

Plus, with Ray Stevenson dying, did that force them to tweak this season with the parting of the ways this episode and then whatever he is seeking either killing him or forcing him to become a force ghost like Obi Wan did in the first Star Wars movie? I think the ending maybe end up being similar to Avengers Infinity War. Will leave a sense of defeat, with Thanos (Thrawn) accomplishing his quest (going back) and the avengers (Ahsoka, Ezra and Sabine) having a comeback later. Because there is more to be explained with Baylan and Peridea. And if everyone leaves with Thrawn (infiltrating as storm troopers, although I would believe the night sisters would find out), the un-answered questions would most likely remain un-answered. Because there would be anyone left in Peridea so we could have a point of view of the outcome. Not to mention that it doesn't feel like Baylan has any intentions of leaving or at least is not concerned about it. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone ends up stranded in Peridea and Jacen is the one to talk to the Purgill and with Hera, Chopper and perhaps even Zeb they all go after Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra. Having the Ghost Crew reunited and, to be honest, that what Ezra could conisder as "going back home". Perhaps the Ahsoka movie (there will be one, right? if not, the next season) will be more related to the Baylan's quest (if on series, at least the beginning), with them staying in Peridea, rather than going back with Thrawn. And they would leave Thrawn's plot to be used in the future. With him already back and established. My only concern about Thrawn coming back "so soon" is that it will really means that one of the best villains for the future of Star Wars will probably not last that long, since he most likely would need to be defeated before the Sequels. Since he is the Heir to the empire, he most likely be the one who turned the tables and made the First Order possible. Perhaps he establishes the First Order, uses the night sisters to start the "ressurection" of Palpatine (I don't know why he would do that), and ends up being defeated somehow (perhaps betrayed by Snoke?). Because there is no way he would have that chain of command under him, if he was to be the leader of the First Order. And he most liikely wouldn't be simply "Peace out" and vanishes after all that trouble. P.S.: While writing this I thought about Thanos = Th(rawn) + (Ahsoka T) ano. Not saying it means anything. Just thought it was curious.

I know people will try to use the words “Glup Shitto” yet again when it comes to the appearance of C-3PO and Anakin Skywalker in the penultimate episode of Ahsoka, but that’s not true at all when you see that 3PO was there to represent and save Hera on behalf of Leia in a way that shows Filoni tastefully honoring the legacy, presence and character of Carrie Fisher as Leia without appearing by CG deepfake or uncanny valley de-aging. And I think Carrie Fisher is smiling from above at how Filoni handled her presence in Ahsoka well. Also, it made sense to have Anakin’s hologram in this episode so Ahsoka could get one last fight lesson from his prerecorded training lessons worked on before she went to fight against Thrawn and save Ezra and Sabine. So, yeah, it made sense for them to appear and wasn’t just fan service.

I don't know why I get the feeling that the ending will be the exact same as the ending of Rebels just with different context. Instead of looking for Ezra like how it was depicted originally, Ahsoka and Sabine are going to save Ezra from Thrawn and the Nightsisters.

Thought the episode was fine, but a bit on the weaker side of the ones we've gotten. Solid, but mostly setup for the finale.

Ezra basically using ultra instinct against the guards and Shin was pretty cool though!

Baylan wtf is he up to?! It’s almost getting annoying how much he’s keeping a secret. Sabine also wtf just tell Ezra already. The more she puts it off the worse it is! Also pls give us a Shin Hati a redemption arc. She’s officially lost and abandoned. Thrawn spent this whole episode packing snacks for a road trip, get on with it!

I enjoyed your reaction more than the show itself. Why does the show look so childish? Maybe it's just me. :(

Maybe think about why Sabine is saying that. Why is she delaying telling Ezra that they're in a real bind? As far as she's concerned, they're most likely stuck there together. Unless they can sneak back on to the Chimera. She keeps saying that because she doesn't want to disappoint him so soon after finding him. She's got some serious issues and "it's complicated" is an indication of that

It's basic denial. Stop watching shit reviewers online who nitpick and misunderstand everything and actually interact with the media on its own level.
