Happy belated Birthday, Robert! And thanks for sharing your wonderful gifts with us. (I realize, as I type this, that I mean "gifts" both in the sense of your presents and in the sense of your gift of speaking to us in your videos.)

Happy birthday! Those are wonderful gifts. I have Robinson's Gilead on my TBR at the moment, but Reading Genesis also sounds right up my alley.

Happy belated birthday!! Sounds like you have some wonderful gifts! RE: your episode on the book "Storm".... i started reading it last week, and am enjoying it, in chapter DAY 3. You did comment to read it slowly, which i am doing... so much detail!! Thank you for the recommendation!

Arden editions are the best! The Merchant was my first Shakespeare. Our beloved 9th grade teacher introduced me to this play and created in me a lasting love of The Bard. A very happy belated birthday.

The Bible ( eg Genesis ) is a composite of poetry, myth, legends, allegory, analogy, etc. Genesis book sounds interesting.

Robert, are you starting to empathize with those wise words by GB Shaw - ' Youth is wasted on the young ' ? 😊

Robert - do you consider listening to an audiobook as “having read a book”? Could you make a video about that subject? I think it counts, others don’t!
@RobertGReaderofBooks-r3pАй бұрын
I'm not especially dogmatic regarding audio versus the written word, though I prefer the latter.

chiaroscuro : bright clear + dark obscure ( Shakespeare: don't mistake him for an instrument ) Don't hang to much in the bookish knowledge if you want to read the Bible read Milton's annotated for sure Paradise lost and Christian Doctrine outstandingly entertaining and fruitful and healthy

I'm not sure what you mean by any of this, but I'll assume the best of intentions.
