she was in a temporary space by the looks of it most likely on her own. one of the equipment rooms maybe under the OPS room or up fwd in the sonar space. i used to serve on a ship in her class and regularly had guests staying in camp beds when the rest of the bunks were full.

@@mariogiresi6792 yer I do love everything the brit navy and ground are doing right now, like the training in Poland I think with many countries. The UK's army as undermaned is still branching out add helping out with many countries not even in a conflict. You see this in Japan with a joint excsuss I thinkwas last week.

I am really getting sick of these senior officers just reading lines they were told to learn in the mirror, in case they say something that doesn't conform to the governments message! I liked how captain kidd of the QE was one of the first people I've seen in a while who actually spoke like a human!

These are military personnel who have to be careful what they say in the media. Do you think we should abandon this practice to put on a good show and have govt. secrets delivered in clever lines by officers on TV so idiots like you could be entertained?

The UK needs more destroyers as well as a bunch of modern guided missile frigates. But even more important, any new vessel should be equipped with the Mk. 41 VLS instead of the PAAMS/Sea Viper. I really don't get how anyone could think it would be a good idea to put the Mk. 41 and its missile family aside and take the PAAMS instead. I can't think of a single advantage of the PAAMS except possibly the price, however I don't even think that there's a big difference in the price of the system and more importantly the missiles it uses.

too bad so many billions of pounds spent over past 5+ yrs on QE helicopter decks, when could have been better spent on Frigates, corvettes, actual next gen munitions and maybe even a non-nuke conventional sub or two ...

@donkoh5738

please sir, the point of the quote from 4 yrs ago was simply (and truthfully still today), that the squandered QE carrier industrial complex shipbuilding budgets (building ships that in no way create proportionate investment capability and deterrence value) ... should have absolutely been reallocated at the time into fielding actual boosted medium-term RN mix of capabilities and deterrence value ! Please don't either over-think it, or dodge the issue. It really shouldn't be too complicated of a topic point. That said, yes and yes, USN at the least should have arguably license-built and outright ordered/commissioned at least 4-5 stopgap QE flat decks - both ski-jump and catobar mods - by now, as part of it's interim capability and deterrence gap-filler strategy. IMHO . Cheers
