@jakefeinbergshow what on earth does that have to do with stepping on guests answers? were you just pointing out other examples of when you failed to let guests finish answers? people are giving you valid points that could improve listener experience & you just continue to flaunt the exact attitude people are pointing out. true shame none of the Dead vibe seems to have rubbed off on you. did you ever actually experience the Dead?

The interviewer should let this guy answer the questions. He constantly is interjecting stuff to make it about himself. Loved Brent, did my fair share of Brent Era shows. I loved Brent, loved the Band. These were Halcyon Daze. The 89-90 tour was Brent’s tour deforce.

I love Brent Midland, I grew up listening to him in the Band. My first show was 83, Philadelphia Spectrum, where they sold out more shows than any other venue, 52!!! However, my favorite year was 89, I was at the Oakland Coliseum, I was the guy who got naked on the lot! I left the Earth for about 7 hours. God bless Rock Medix and Bill Graham. But the best show I was ever at, 1989 JFK STADIUM, Philadelphia Pa. hands down, the BEST!!! A magical moment happened while Brent was singing Blow away. 100,000 people had their fist in the air and when he told us to let it go, a Mighty Breeze came by, it was FUCKING AWESOME!!! ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏☮🐸

Interesting how we all have different tastes. Love Brent in 85. 87 is awesome for Brent. The 89-90 well documented. But those two other years in particular are way more interesting than anything he did before that. The early 80s probably the least interesting to me. Of all the Dead’s periods.

But I went into his room with Bobby + my niece to c him but I told him he had enough to drink so he took a full bottle of rum + threw it up to the ceiling + glass went everywhere so I picked up all I could then Bobby asked how r we going out of here without cutting our feet ? I said just close ur eyes + don’t think about it ! So we got out , no cuts on our feet + Bobby said how did we do this ? We floated out of there ! He believed me ! 🩷🐇🐰🌹☠️💀⚡️🕊️💥👻🥰😘

I really enjoyed this. I am pretty sure the Dead was set up as a partnership, not a corporation. Just like a law firm. You have partners and associates. Associates are like hired hands. Brent was a hired hand in the early years. At some point, probably during the In The Dark era or just after, he became a full partner as Matt alluded to. The other full partners would have been the other five members plus Hunter.
