I love Ons I'm very slow yet they never object or get me stuck in a dead rut plus they're all season fantastic uppers never panic when caught in some rain

I'm a beginner runner used to a pair of Cloudrunners (very firm shoes). Today I tried other brands and models but could not feel confident on them (NB 1080V13, Nike Zoom Fly 5 and Asics Novablast) as I did on Hypers. I think it really works nicely for forefooters like me. The combination between foam and rocker just makes me want to run more and more. Ventilation has not been a concern yet, let's wait for summer.

For me ,Eclipse and Surfer are my best ONs as of now (for leg saving with a stiffer-ish ride) .

@wonkydonkey7899 just got the eclipse a week ago, and they did not have this . Tried the monster 2 and chose the eclipse . I think for the price i would get the edge paris over this.

Ill be honest ive never enjoyed a pair of ON, they just dont work for me. Ive tried on pairs every year since 2018 and its all just been eh for me. I really feel like theyre just riding off of the hype right now of being a trendy buy for casual wear

Thanks, this was helpful 🙇‍♀️ I have a wide forefoot so I always size up, there's usually a little more than an inch from my longest toe to the end of my running shoes. When the rocker geometry is too forward the ball of my foot either sits behind the rocker or just on the edge of it so I am unable to apply much power there and take advantage of the propulsive design.

Seems like ON is still just throwing different things at the board seeing what works and what doesn't. Very odd shoe that doesn't seem worth the price tags when comparing to even an SC trainer.

I read that it’s ON’s attempt to compete with ASICS Superblast, which originally cost $220 but dropped to $200. This Cloudmonster Hyper is more expensive than Superblast.

If ON constructed the whole shoe in full length of Helion HF foam, I may consider a pair. The Helion HF is reactive, soft and bouncy; but pairing with the regular Helion foam just makes this running shoe off and awkward. 😬

I think that they did not put full length HF was not to cut costs but to make the shoes more stable and work for most runners. Other wise it would be a clunky and heavy shoes like the Invincible 3( definitely not a super trainer) or it would have a huge stack and wide like the SuperBlast to not make everything overpronate.

@@MiracleWarriors That makes sense. Cost wise this will shy away many people from getting this shoe. It’s even $20 more than Superblast currently.

Is the upper fabric (above toes) more like a cloth or more like smooth /polyester similar to cloud monster 1? Trying to see if it will get dirty easily

The ASICS Superblast is still the top of the heap of super trainers. This is a strange shoe. The regular helion and helion hf don’t feel like they mix well together. The hf feels like it’s mushrooming over the top which makes it feel sloppy at speed. Still like it for longer, easier efforts but the price is too high. Thanks for the good, honest review.
