So no one actually knows why people die suddenly, except God. Nor can we know if it isn't revealed to us like it was revealed to his Eminence about his brother. Sudden death happens not only to wicked people, but to saints as well, like St. Athanasios the Athonite who died when building collapsed on him and the others. So I guess, the thing that should be imoprtant for all if us is not the reason why someone died, but that we should be ready for any kind of death, whether it be sudden or not, since the way you die is not important, rather the state in which you die
