When I was in school teachers would often show us videos about danger of soda drinks, that usually highlighted their high sugar content. And we as kids would always just laugh at those videos after class. But 1 year ago I was diagnosed with ulcer (not connected to sodas, got it because of overuse of painkillers during periods) and had to follow a strict diet. I still ate all sorts of sweets but couldn't drink sodas. About half year after that I've tried pepsi and that was when I realised that those videos back from school years where absolutely true. Pepsi tasted like... well like it's composition - a spoon of water dissolved in a kilo of sugar mixed with the cheapest synthetic syrup on Earth

sugary drinks really alter your perception of sweetness as a whole. you desensitize yourself to sweetness. sweet things aren't as sweet, so you can handle more and end up consuming more sugar than whats just in the drinks. after getting used to non-sugary drinks, I was weirded out because I had a sugary soda, and then some cake, but could barely taste the sweetness of the cake. Like it instantly made other sweets not as enjoyable.

So many possibilities in the SO_A genre: Soba are Japanese noodles, Soca is a musical genre from the Caribbean attempting to push back on reggae, Soma the game bridges to your other videos, SOPA was the would-be disastrous Internet piracy act that failed 15 years ago, Sora is an excuse to go after all generative AI, Sammy Sosa was one of the baseball players at the heart of the early 90's steroid scandal who later bleached his skin, and soya is another name for soybeans. That could be easily 18 months worth of videos

I have a conspiracy theory on the syrup like texture. It seem highly likely, that the syrup like texture of the soda is related to the use of corn syrup. And it might be possible that the reason why soda in America use corn syrup is because of American's preference of chilling their drinks. And maybe the reason why American chilling their drink is because all the advertisements always depict soda to be consumed chilled. And such depiction could be because corn syrup is significantly cheaper that cane sugar, but offer inferior texture that could be conveniently masked by chilling the drink. I have this theory because it seems that in countries that do not have radially available means of refrigeration, or in countries that consider drinking chilled drink is unhealthy, that their soda are almost always made from cane sugar which should have been more expensive to make, but are usually sold at a lower price compare to in America.

i started making my own bubbly drinks. life altering. soda stream is garbage better to just get big CO2 tanks and a kit from some brewery supplies place. way cheaper in the long run
salt is fine. sugar is fine if infrequent and offset by activity. also sparkling water is great. the lemon and cola-nut flavour is classic. the problem is people who don't think of high-sugar drinks as treats but as constant companions. I hope your video on lawns is less biased and more informative.
