The name of the river is Havel😂😂. It’s really nice to go to Berlin by boat. And Potsdam of course is Sanssouci!

Hi Jacob, this is my first comment! The river on which you walk is the Havel! The Sanssouci Park is recommended in Potsdam, but not the palace - too many tourists and not much to see. In the inner city the Dutch quarter - hopefully a few pubs and cafes are open. Maybe the Glienicke Bridge is interesting? Or a habour cruise? I'm looking forward to the next vlog!

STAU!!!! If you have been on the autobahn, & have not been in the middle of a big STAU ... you have not truly experienced Germany!! Once again, Jacob, your cinematography just makes me wish that I was living in Germany, because you are visiting areas that I could only dream of visiting before ther wall fell!! I am really looking forward to the coming VLOGs while you are having your holiday!!!

Potsdam, my hometown. For tourists it's basically Sanssouci, New Palace, castle Charlottenhof, Einstein tower. Not such a big town.

I live in Burg - the Vollsperrung you experienced was a major accident with 2 truck drivers being killed. Next time you go by, drop me note, I'd be happy to meet you guys in person!

Oh, Potsdam. I used to be there quite often while I lived in Berlin. It's just large enough to not be boring, and small enough so you can recover from the noise of the big city. Sweet memories. Thank you for this video.

oh haa, better to go to another big town ... so berlin is going riot with all different cultures and the berliners are going more and more agressive... first assault was the christmas market in berlin where many people lost their lives... and other causes are... the rent costs go to the moon ! ... do not wonder to hear bad words about americans and canadians and british ... in some years ... or earliear the prices of rent properties will fall

I thought all accommodation in Germany is closed at the moment, due to the pandemic, except for business reasons? Or does this rule not apply in Potsdam? Anyway, enjoy the trip, I'm very jealous having been sick in NRW since the summer!

Hi. Good, if you are prince and princess of your own Dachge- "Schloß" flat. But it's Potsdam in former Prussia. There it's Dach- bullet ("geschoß"), of course.☺ Seems you don't need a real "Schloß"🏰, when every house🏚 you live in with your girlfriend💑 appears to you as a palace. Shows you are one of the good guys. Have some nice days. Greeting Ps "Stolpersteine" in general a good thing to keep talking and remembering alive. But i totally dislike the possibility to step onto them with your shoes.

3:45 Stolpersteine. Stumbling blocks. This is shown by the names and dates of people who were abducted and killed between 1933 and 1945. Most of them were Jews, but they had German citizenship. The stumbling blocks are a reminder of the injustice that happened. For this purpose, the history of these people was researched and documented by local groups. These stumbling blocks can be found all over Germany. A few cities use plaques instead.

Hotels are open again? Potsdam also has Cecilienhof where all the leaders of the Free world the allies, got together and decided the fate of millions and millions of people after the war.
