Had to stop watching. That 'background' musack was in the mid-ground and made listening to your commentary tiring. Your commentary would have been quite sufficient on its own.

Hello guys Because of my job I had to move to Bavaria from The Netherland. Locals are terrible, not polite and rude. Especially, customer service doesn't exist at all. I witnessed many times that shop attendants yelled at customers. Also they like to stare at you with anger. Germans are just disappointing. I can only imagine how difficult for people of other races to live in Germany.

As a person who has spent a lot of time with Germans they are direct and some are down right rude. The way to deal with this and I am British for context is to express your opinion. They are used to it as they are very direct ( hence they will not take offence) and secondly you could put these children in their place. Be more assertive is the only way with Germans. The upside of this is that you will never have to wonder what a German thinks , they are perfectly capable of voicing their opinions and in my experience this is helpful in two ways. One you never have to worry if you have offended them, they will straight out tell you. Also, the prefer saying things to your face rather than behind your back. This is also useful because depending on their intentions you can tell whether this is an honest or rude person.

This makes me so sad. I'm from South Africa and my ancestors came from Germany in the 1800's as missionaries to South Africa. No one on the German side of my family is rude. Especially my Mom, who is an angel! My German family are more warm and friendly than the other family I have that are not German. It is so strange. My Mom taught me that we do to others what we want them to do to us. To be kind and friendly to strangers in the street. To let others go before you in a queue. To help. And always be friendly. A smile goes a long way.

Question? How many of the fans are there for the curiosity factor vs the amount of fans that have a definitive understanding of the game/rule, etc? NFL Football can get confusing w/ all the penalties and such, Really enjoying your" journal" THANKS

Looks exactly like a NORTHEASTERN UNITED STATES NFL Football morning where you are - perfect! The "VIBE" is REAL. I love Saturday Mornings PREMIERE LEAGUE Football here in NYC, but I do feel like the ALMIGHTY UNDERDOG when compared to the Continental teams here, obviously, but if you girls and guys get as excited as I do, then you've really got a good thing going - at least that's how I feel watching Arsenal or Chelsea/Manchester/whomever!!

Searched this video title after talking on a German forum asking about life in Germany, they were so incredibly nasty I was appalled. They weren't "being blunt" or "being honest." They were hateful and nasty. Disrespectful.

G'day, Jacob! Kudos to you for being considerate, polite, and for this video bringing to light the social rudeness of some in certain public situations. I don't take you for a people pleaser at all. You're just a kind man who thinks of others and their plight. It's also a reminder to all of us viewers to pay more attention when out in public to the needs of people in general, especially mums with prams and the disabled.

Germans have a long history of militarism since the period of the Holy Roman Empire. So it isn't surprising that they had that commanding voice. Doesn't always mean that they're harsh and aggressive.

QUARK is a very low fat cream cheese type. Most of our traditional cheesecakes and other pastries are made with Quark. You sure picked a lot of fried baked goods...LOL there is so much more of a variety to try! Sorry, but the way you eat these with the fork and "cut" the fried pastries makes me wanna scream‼️‼️ those are fingerfoods. Clearly you missed your sessions at Finishing School‼️😉🤣 We Germans are quite fussy about our table manners, as most Europeans are. 👍

Loved this so much! Common sense and common courtesy!!!! I remember being at Rewe and did not know how to scan their customer card. I tried many different ways, and the cashier and the long line of people just watched me. Cashier yelled at me and didn't help me or teach me how to use it. My first experience with rudeness in the country. Another person yelled at my daughter in the train--to this day, we still can't figure out what she was doing wrong. It broke my daughter's heart as she is always so kind and is a rule follower. Not saying, "Excuse me," when bumping into you. Not moving out of the way when you're obviously blocking the path. Moved here after Japan... ugh! Total shock. I need to make sure I 'kill people with kindness' or I'll eventually be like them...

I am german and I've encountered so many rude people in Germany. I also come from Paris (I grew up there) which is known to be a place full of french rude people but it never compared to Germany. I've lived in Berlin and in Leipzig. I've never been yelled at in France for anything, well I guess scanning your supermarket point card wrong at the cashier is reason enough in Germany to get yelled at... Or making space in the tram to let a woman with a stroller get down the tram is reason enough to get yelled by an other one who was mad that I was not letting her get through... They really have no patience, it's horrible. They are a lot of people talking to you in a condescending way, as if everything is self-explanatory which is in most cases (especially in the "Bürokratie" side of things) absolutely not. Yes, germans are rude, as a German myself I think that.

Tote Oma is really more an Ex-GDR thing, but Blutwurst is common allover in Germany. I live in the North and here a combination with heated Blutwurst in thick slices with a combination of apple and potato mash is something traditional. The name is also poetic - Himmel und Erde - heavens and earth (the appless growing high above 'heaven and the potatoes growing in the earth). BTW - huge consumers and fans of blood sausages are the French, they call it Boudin and have even an organization with several thousand members, which looks after the traditional production and elects the butcher which produces the best version each year!

Sind Deutsche unhöflich? Vermutlich.

I think for many Germans it’s a subconscious defence mechanism. Germans, who are generally a proud non self deprecating people, value collective identity over staunch individualism. And for many Germans they wrongly assume that their collective identity, as perceived by foreigners, is based on their past mistakes. Brits, for the most part, will usually try and gauge someone through observation and interaction regardless of your religion, appearance or demeanour reserving judgement until the aforementioned actions are completed. We tend to base judgement solely on the individual rather than making sweeping assumptions based on stereotypes. In my experience If you look flowery and “up in the clouds” so to speak Germans will judge you harshly and will take advantage of what they perceive as weakness. They value practicality over deep introspection. Look miserable and you’ll be fine.
