If you leave a comment I appreciate it! But, youtube is being glitchy and I'm not able to see all comments. They say they are working on the problem. If I don't respond to your comment it's most likely because it has disappeared from my view. Hopefully I will be able to see it soon.

I love all your doorway peeks! Such fun. I've just watched a bunch of your videos and am enjoying them. It's off topic here, but I have scoop on Oaxaca. (I hope you get there at some point). There are many churches there but two in particular. One is large, gilded and grand and in the rich part of town. The other is a bit worn and faded and located at the other (more modest) end of town. The gilded church feels cold and dead, like a monument to wealth. The more modest and faded church is still large and beautiful. There's a plaza outside with vendors and food. The feeling inside the church is alive and full of joy. There's a service followed by a wedding followed by a christening and on and on. It seems never to stop. People are friendly and inclusive and happy there. Much of Oaxaca's charm lies in the small villages nearby, where artisans carve and paint the alebrijes. You can take a backpack and a pesero out into the countryside and hike between the villages. It's fascinating and makes for a good day trip. Eat the fabulous mole while in Oaxaca. It's well worth a week or two, perhaps more.

Beautiful town. You're opening my eyes to my own escape plan. I have a dog too, so it would be way easier to drive to Mexico vs. S. America. Thanks for sharing Mora. I'm envious. I'd love to see a video breaking down cost of rent/food/internet etc.

San Miguel de Allende, located in the central highlands of Mexico's Guanajuato state, is a city renowned for its well-preserved colonial architecture, vibrant arts scene, and historical significance. Founded in 1542, it played a pivotal role in Mexico's War of Independence and boasts landmarks like the neo-Gothic Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel and the Casa de Allende. The city's picturesque streets and cultural festivals, such as the San Miguel Writers' Conference and Dia de los Locos, draw visitors from around the world. Its thriving expatriate community enjoys a blend of traditional Mexican charm and modern amenities. With nearby natural attractions like the El Charco del Ingenio botanical garden and various thermal springs, San Miguel de Allende offers a unique and enchanting experience for both residents and tourists. Great video, Mora Margaret!

@MoraMargaret5 ай бұрын
No, because I drove over the boarder. I understand flying is more difficult. I have all their documents but no one asked to see them. I guess the CDC is making returning to the states more difficult after Aug. 1, so that's a consideration if you're coming from the the States and planning to return there.

Thanks! It's more expensive than many other places, but not outrageous. I have a place with a garden so it's worth it! It takes about 20 to walk to the main square. The town is beautiful.
