I’m fascinated by these game books. Considering I never played a proper war game, would it be advisable to try something like Bismarck or Waterloo before I play something more advanced such as this one?

I love the concept but it seems a little confusing, and I'm not a huge fan of games which make you mark thinks up with a pen or pencil. Still, I'll give this one some real consideration
