How long do these engines last with 500 brake? I'm debating how far to take mine..

500HP is still a safe power output for these motors. I also have a clubsport which is going to stage 3 in 2024. These cars can run as daily's at 500HP. When tuned properly, its safe on the engine, clutch and gearbox.

@@kyransamlall7898 Interesting, I have the GTI performance which is has slightly different internals to the clubsport I think, may have to keep power down a bit because of this?

@@ap6584 Yes, correct. General safe playing field on that motor is 400HP. You could go with the is38 and produce around 380HP or even a stage 1 hybrid is38 if you want the full 400HP, it’s nice to play around and figure out what works best for you.

@kyransamlall7898 That's great advice thanks, confirms what I've generally been hearing. Currently I'm thinking Littco L380X on standard fuel pumps for about 400 - 420bhp, should be plenty enough for me. Good luck with yours, can't begin to imagine what it would be like with 500HP!
