Hi Jim & thanks for all your Great Videos. My inquiry on Raw 2025 is about the: "Generative Eraser" tool & why doesn't it work? On1 video makes it look flawless and supper fast & easy, IT'S NOT! All comments to on1 are all saying the same thing it doesn't work as advertised! Leaves cartoon image's, logos, B&W characters, swaps out a design that has nothing to do with image... On1 has not responded to any of these concerns. I'm sure many of us bought the UPGRADE just for this feature. ON1 video by Dan Harlacher: 'Easily Remove Large Distractions' = FALSE ADVERTISING in my book, very dissatisfied. Any thoughts Videos?

It's great. As are Luminar, Topaz, DxO and Lightroom/PS. It's no wonder I can spend hours on one picture.

In the new release ON1 made a big thing about power line reduction and Generative Expansion. What they don’t tell you is that you need specific kit (certainly for Macs) to do so. I have an older Mac Mini (2014) and the power line feature doesn’t work with it - in fact it simply makes the power line thicker! They say you can use Stability Ai with it, but that doesn’t work either, although it does work (sometimes) with the Generative Brush feature. So it looks like the new update was rushed out without thorough testing resulting in a product that fails to live up to the hype. I’m really disappointed with ON1 on this.

My primary now is On1. Also use NEO but really like On1 for an overall dig workshop. I am an amateur photographer who used Adobe for many years but do like the rent approach they use. Also, NEO is in the process of charging extra for the newest updates while On1 is still honoring the buy one get most all that's new.

On1 is a very solid product for sure.

Thanks Jim. The three stand out features of ON12025, in my humble view, are edit colour, colour match and depth masks. The Gen AI delete and expand are pretty ordinary, especially if you have to buy further credits from Stability AI to get even acceptable results. One question though about this edit and the order in which you applied the colour adjustments - you applied colour match last - doesn’t this undo all the previous edits. My original thinking when first using the tool was to apply colour match first and then make fine adjustments with the other tools. Grateful for your advice/views. Cheers Ed

I've been using On1 for a while now. Since upgrading to 2025 I've been having an issue with focus stacking. As I view the focus stacked image I find *_lots_* of artifacts such as large blurred out areas, color streaks and on a few occasions stripes. It's happened on 50%+ of my images. I used the same images on the 2024 version and they were artifact free.

Hi Jim, how can we add stars and color label in ON1 edit mode, like we do in LRC ? Tedious, while editing several photos, to come back to browse to add star to mak photo as ready to print and back to edit for next photo

Have you abandoned Luminar in favor of On1?
@JimNixАй бұрын
No, not at all. Luminar is my primary app but I also use On1 and Lightroom and make videos about those apps too.

For years ON1 could use a sensible look at the GUI. Raw 2025 is sloppy again. With filters you find Color here, Color there, Color Balance, Edit Color... it's all over the place but not sorted by alphabet for example. It's the little things that make a good workflow.

I try every new release since years and I always see the same basic flaws… rendering is far from LR or C1 for instance.
