I really liked this video good job. I noticed that my right foot and left foot were moving, and begin thinking "huh, do I brake and throttle the same places as him?" And yeah..kinda. I'd say we're about a 98.8% match on this, now of course theirs tons of variables but hey the Sims are damn close atleast. And btw don't doubt your aggression so much because the way you're driving is just fine. When I was student at Panoz Richard reminded me how much of a physiological game racing is and how patience really does pay off. He taught me one very important lesson "Being behind another car can be just as much of an advantage as being in front of another car/driver" and every single race I've been in since that saying has only become more and more true. You're gonna do fine man, just listen to your gut. Respect and best of luck to you.

Thanks Dave! I watched this race on TV and was amazed at the number of incidents! I'm not sure I've ever seen (other than in simracing ;-) ) a race with as many incidents throughout as this one. It was great to then get to hear your views from inside the car and the different modes of strategy you approached with (as well as all the details of what moves work where and why etc) - so thanks for sharing with us and giving us a great, detailed rounder view of an amazing race! Nice run! Regarding the move around the outside of turn 1, Caldarelli made the move stick in the 563 around the #4 I think, but with a ton of door to door contact. When the sister car the 519 tried it a little later on it looked almost identical except the 519 wound up facing backwards.
@DavidPerel5 жыл бұрын
Yea that T1 move was high risk and also I couldn't get as close as I wanted to be able to pull it off. I have done the move before, in GT Open last year, but I was much closer in the braking zone.
