I am so glad I came across your channel Teal, you are answering every question I have without me having to ask. I love your attention to detail and the teamwork that goes into your whole build and restore. Congrats on superb content and the inspiration that you give others to give projects a go. Thanks for the kind words Ross! I was watching your last video and I realized why your channel fascinates me so much. It's because I have refit two cruising multihulls in my life but I skipped the hard part of laying the hull. I know how much blood, sweat, swearing, and tears you have put into your project... you my friend are a rockstar in the DIY KZbin community!

I think i know what im doing to my counter tops in my boat now...and yanking off the fiddles. I have hated them from the beginning. Wierd clear plastic with a horizantal chrome strip running th middle....Gone! Have always been compelled leave them on because "what if something slides off" but then the simplest answers are always the best. Just stow all your stuff before you get under way. lol Great stuff as usual, nothing less than stellar.

Our countertop in the galley are 5 years old. We used them everyday and they look like the day we installed them. Super easy to clean like any other counters. Love them. 😍😍

I've been wondering ever since the first time I saw your articulated counters in the heads about any concern you might have about someone being "injured" using the heads during rolling seas. Those latches sticking out seems like they could do a real number on someone's ribs if they weren't careful. Great job by the way! Might use this procedure to make custom desk space in my computer room.

You continue to amaze us with well thought out design and execution. Question; I have been watching for sometime now, actually all of your episodes on your channel, can you tell us where you learned (mastered I would mention) how to “build a sailing vessel” from the hull up ? A bit personal I know, just curious and interested where someone (we) could learn this as well. Best wishes to you and the family.
@OnboardLifestyle6 жыл бұрын
We are working on a backstory video that will help fill in some of the blanks but long story short is that I am self taught and still learning. Having spent most of my life working on and sailing multihulls gave me the confidence to take on this project. Here is a link to give you a sneak peak into our background. multihullcompany.com/articles/may-sailors-of-the-month/

I am very weight sensitive too lol, so since I could not shed any, we sold our cat and bought a monohull ...for some reason I still have the weight on?! Tell Teal his weight issue (err I mean boat weight issue) is in the tools not the counter. Just kidding. Great video.

I made the pop-up by using four full extension drawer guides and two gas struts mounted below in an "X". It took a little while to calculate the load and push points so the unit would lock in the up and the down positions.

How many Kenmore Air flights are there in a day?
@OnboardLifestyle6 жыл бұрын
We have noticed the activity has grown over the last few years with Seattle's latest growth spurt. Kenmore air has a 25 aircraft fleet with 52 pilots. They start taking off @ 8am M-F and 9am S-S. When the cruise ships are in they are doing quick 15 min scenic flights one after another all day long. No complaints from us because it's always fun to watch them dodging all the marine traffic on the lake, those pilots are fearless.

@OnboardLifestyle6 жыл бұрын
After your comment I sat in position and tried to knock my body into the catch. After completing my very scientific experiment I have concluded that it is not an issue. As I throw my body towards the catch your torso leans and hits the counter and the catch simultaneously and is quite comfortable to bounce off of. I'm not saying that in rough seas we won't get a bruise here and there, but heh, that's all part of the adventure.
