A lot of women convince themselves that they’re dating a man but in return he’s not dating her. When Duke spoke on uncovering those characteristics of discipline & family structure .. a lot of woman never get to that stage of learning a “dog” because he’s not even open to letting a woman he’s not actually dating get to know him on a deeper level! Men in their dog stage usually make it very clear through their actions and their energy that this ain’t that. We as woman not only have to put out the right energy but also be able to identify when the energy is not matched & move on.

My understanding of what Omar was saying about “a dog is a dog” is that one can possess that trait but that same individual can choose not to act as such. That’s like saying under certain circumstances women can be perceived as “crazy” but I, for example, can choose not to go there. It’s in me though, but I’m not going to allow myself to get to that point. And that comes with growth, it involves maturity. I also don’t believe a woman can change a man, and vice versa. A man’s heart can only be change by himself. The ability to change should never be dependent on another flawed individual. That’s what I believe.

This was a GOOD conversation. So-so-so good. I wanted to hear Omar elaborate more on why he believes a woman sliding in a man's DMs wouldn't work out long term. Lol. I think it's no different from a woman "choosing".
@MercadezMichelle2 жыл бұрын
The example given, both women picked you. However, one considers you a dog the other doesn’t but you’re still the same individual they both picked. One woman has to accept accountability for picking you but the other one doesn’t. Did one woman make you change in the process or did you decide to change for one woman but not the other? Yea I’m going to need a part 2 on this episode 😂🤣

@sarahturtle32702 жыл бұрын
Love the video! Very thought provoking conversation. I still lean towards, like duke said, checking the abstract characteristics of a man. success looks different for everyone and what one woman may see as success I can see as a red flag. I also as a woman look at other women’s character when she’s choosing men and through maturity can see if he truly is a dog or she’s not taking accountability for her choices.

Paused @ 2:27 to answer. I think men CAN be dogs when they aren’t with someone who makes them FEEL like they want to be better and change. Though I think people should do it for themselves (change for the better) but most cases it takes someone to see something in you that you didn’t/don’t see within yourself for you to WANT or BELIEVE there’s better within. *tunes back in*

You can meet a discipline man and he still step out and lie and be a so on so called “dog” I’ve seen it first hand by experience! A man who has discipline doesn’t always mean he ain’t lie cheat or step out in his GF or even fiancé
@Me-px7js Жыл бұрын
Hmmm, the meaning of disciplined means not stepping out I think. If a man who has made a commitment steps out, he’s the opposite of disciplined it seems

I think women pick men. In the way that men constantly shooting their shot it’s not until that women picks you to pursue her but then down the line the man picks if she the one he wanna stay with 24:49

I think Omar is redefining the term Dog (which is cool) but not related to how women use the term or more so not speaking to the negative connotation connected to the term "dog"... (Duke redirected that)..granted I'm only 13+ minutes in so we'll see how this conversation goes...

Question to Nice&Neat regarding the convo on men having fathers. I think as human beings we operate in both our feminine and masculine energy, women more so feminine and men more so masculine, and of course there are exceptions. So my question is, for men who did grow up in single parent homes, just the mom, why aren’t they more in tune with their feminine energy? Not saying they need to act feminine but where is the masculinity coming from?
@herspecsTV2 жыл бұрын
Good Convo! I don’t think a woman can change a man. I think a woman just like anyone else can influence a man but the man has to make a decision to change or not. I don’t want to change a man. If I meet, get to know you and become interested, that’s for a reason. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with someone being influenced and evolving. However for the sake of this convo, I’m not trying to change a man that is a “dog”. Keyword, “IS”. No. Not interested.
@mrsphylpie76292 жыл бұрын
Women can initiate that they are interested but ultimately the men will still pick from the choices that are initially there.

I’m just seeing this episode, and I must say Jalon, YOU knew the men as “good men” because you aren’t in the realm of being in a relationship with them. No one knows anyone or what happens behind closed doors. However, I agree I don’t think all men are dogs BUT all men are CAPABLE.
