I talked about feeding the poultry way too much. LOL. Thanks for your patience with me! Buying food for a whole flock of birds and fitting it in my grocery budget is new territory over here. =). I promise to not yammer on about them next month. ha!

Sarah , someone suggested that you plant fruit trees, and I agree. We planted pear, apple, and cherry trees 6 yrs. ago and the apple, and pear trees all produced this year. I can't tell you how great it feels to not have to go out and buy fruit. In addition, we planted every berry there is, and they all produced in abundantly. I'm loving this season of my life. You are and amazing person, and many of us are so inspired by you and Solo.😇 🙏🏼🙏🏽

Huh, never thought I hear the word "cannibal" in one of your videos, but here we are lol. Also $336 a month for raw milk? Those health benefits must be amazing. And it's good y'all supporting local farmers. Ever since I moved to Iowa I've seen a lot more farmers going to town to sell their products so it's obvious they need our support more than ever.

Sarah, I highly recommend planting fruit trees on your land, they take a few years to really produce, so the sooner you can get them in the better. You really can’t beat fresh, organic fruits.

Order the trees from Trees of Antiquity.. they are the best prices I find and wonderful quility( they come as small twigs and look dead, but are very much alive) I would recommend zones 4-5, look at the cold hardiness levels is how I do it.. we live in Oregon and can get fairly cold here… you placw your order let’s say now( the sooner the better otherwise they sell out) and you pay Java as a deposit now and when they ship in march you pay the other half

If you haven't purchased a steam canner it is a game changer. In an hour i can wash jars, fill them, put in a steam canner and be done with the cleanup. It reaches its temperature in under ten minutes. The only drawback is you can't process anything beyond 55minutes because it would run out of water. There are great KZbin videos on this. Love the food hauls with all the healthy food you buy. What a joy, happy noise on such a hot day!

They buy a whole beef and whole pork so that isn't included - she never says how much they pay for each. My understanding they sometimes purchase more than one a year. She has become very irresponsible with the animals (kittens do NOT belong outside over night and manhandled inappropriately) and the kids run amuck with no direction. Very chaotic - why I am no longer a subscriber.

Fall is the time to plant garlic. And I know you all like garlic. If you have garden space in October plant some individual bulbs in ground and cover with mulch several inches. It will come up in spring and grow to full size maybe June or July. Very easy. You also get garlic scapes off the plants to eat before the bulbs are fully mature. Even the children can do this. Blessings on you all.

Oh my gosh! I love watching how you manage your household. I’m almost 80, so I can’t try all that you cook from scratch, but I am on day 6 of your sourdough starter. I am going to try the bagels. One thing I was surprised at in this grocery-haul is the canola oil purchase. From what I’ve read about it, we stopped using it. It was created to fatten hogs, if I’m remembering that correctly. You always choose such healthful foods, so that choice threw me for a loop. Please don’t think I’m negatively critiquing you. You’re amazing and I love your vlogs.

Please don’t put this misinformation out there. I am a Registered Dietitian and canola oil is not a bad fat. It does not have any saturated fats. It ranks in middle of the pack how healthy it is. It can be used but you also want to use Olive oil and Avacado Oil more. She said it is only used every nowAnd then so no reason for you to get up in arms about. I even use it myself sometimes.

I have always gardened, but raised bed gardening has enabled me to keep gardening. I no longer have a lot of weeds to contend with. I don’t have a lot of bending over or crawling, which is now impossible for me. Chemicals on my plants have always been a no no and therefore growing in compost makes the produce a whole lot better. I hope I’ve convinced you to try raised bed gardening! 😊

Good Morning! I need to order from Azure again. That cheese looked great! You're amazing! I have to shop every week for our crew. I'm in your boat, a Family of 13, but my oldest has now moved out (we still feed her, haha), and we are constantly feeding extra mouths, so we have to buy a lot of food. I love it, though. 🫶 You have inspired me to make more with our sourdough. Thanks for sharing it all with us!🫶 Sending love from Wisconsin.

You need to get hold of Walmart and have them replace the juice , because the should have at least been doubled or tripled bagged! Also we live in Florida and our Walmart put you orders unbagged in the plastic bins , you bring your reusable grocery bags and they bag your order for you in your bags when they get to your car! You can get Walmart bags for $1.00 a piece!
