I loved the show and I hope it gets picked up for more seasons. I think this season runs into the same issue that Fans vs Favorites seasons of survivor runs into in that the regular folks get mostly outwitted by the reality stars, so they should probably do all newbies next time around. But it was so much fun and I really hope we get more!

That might’ve been true for Andie and Quinton regarding Cirie but I felt the new players held their own at times and didn’t let themselves get completely steamrolled by the celebrities.

Maybe it’s just because I’m a Survivor fan and not a fan of any of the other reality shows, but it seems wild to me the whole cast wouldn’t assume one of the Survivor players would be picked as a traitor for the sake of good tv. If I’m Stephanie and I know I’m not a traitor, I’m thinking, “Surely Cirie is a traitor.”

I agree about the challenges timer being suspicious. What are the odds that so many challenges came down to a few seconds? It felt like watching Mission: Impossible where they stop the bomb with one or two seconds left.

I think it worth comparing this one to the UK one. The UK one has no previous reality stars just ordinary people and everyone is emotional, trusting, plus the ending is quite frustrating. The US one was also very entertaining but all of them seemed to dislike each other and were very untrusting towards each other, which is why they fumbled at getting out the two men earlier, as it was very clear they were traitors

The reason the US season had reality stars was to attract an audience. If there is a second season, I'm guessing they will be all strangers.

Spoilers! I really enjoyed the show and am so happy for Cirie. I think there's some improvements the show could make for the second season. There's so little to go off of for the Faithfuls, the Traitor's can easily breeze by. I think if they knew the number of Traitor's to look out for it would help create more suspicion and dialogue which is ultimately needed in a game like this. When they invite a Faithful to become a Traitor they should reveal that the proposition occurred. This show felt similar to the mole but harder cause there's even less to go off of, the Traitor's never have to deliberately sabotage the game or other players. It's all about building trust and maintaining character which Cirie did flawlessly. Edit: When Christian revealed he had been given an invitation but declined, I was shocked. I thought Allan was going to reveal the proposition occurred and was accepted, thus increasing the number of Traitor's they need to look out for and screwing Christian over beautifully. Christian should never have revealed the proposition in the first place how could he have known production wasn't planning on revealing what transpired last night to the group. People must wonder why no one was killed...

I agree completely on the challenges! Would’ve elevated the whole thing! To have the challenges reveal a clue about not just one traitor, but all three, and consequently, be more difficult to accomplish.

My suspicion about the armory shield box selection is that production left the boxes empty until just before the last person went in, then they placed the shield in the final box. I think they changed this halfway through the UK season, which filmed after the US season.

Stephine was the smartest faithful in both the US and UK versions. In the UK version, only like 1 faithful had an idea who one of the traitors was, but it was the for the wrong reasons. 1 traitor backstabbed another traitor for no reason, and the last traitor became suspisious after a time. But Stephine had an idea who all of them were ngl.

I think for the challenges, they should take some inspiration from The Resistance. Don't have everyone compete, just a subset that's voted by everyone somehow. Then have any money not won by the faithful go to a guaranteed pot for the traitors, even if they get voted out. So there's an incentive to risk exposing yourself for sure money. The opportunities to screw shouldn't allow people to pinpoint the saboteur exactly but it should make it clear to everyone that one of the people in the challenge group is a traitor.

Ryan Lockty is also from reality tv. He was on Dancing with the Stars and Celebrity Big Brother. Cody was the winner of Big Brother. Kyle is from Vanderpump Rules (I think...or one of those Bravo non competition reality tv shows).

BTW on Cody's KZbin channel The Winners Circle, Derek and Tiffany asked Cody about why he said this to Kyle after Ryan was murdered, he told them that he was not lying about what Ryan told him and that he said it in front of Amanda as well at the bottom of the stairs before they went to bed and that Ryan really did say those 3 names and the reason he told Kyle was to cover his butt in case Amanda tried to tell Kyle later. So he didn't just make up a lie. He said the reason why the show didn't share it was because after the round table meeting, there were no cameras around when everyone was going to bed. But he did say he should have thought about a better way to tell him so it would make sense why he was telling him. He also said that the conversation bergen him and Kyle at the table went on for way way longer than what they showed.

I really like the idea which this show is based on. But in my opinion the fact that the traitors know who the other traitors are and the faithfuls are clueless about it is a huge flaw and as a viewer this made me lose interest quickly. Specially compared to other competition shows in which players have a week to get their thoughts together to then decide who to eliminate.In this competition the faithfuls have to literally eliminate someone every night. If the producers do not want the show to go on for too long why not have a round table to eliminate a traitor, every three days? I also feel that the way the rules were made was done to favor the traitors. They literally have total control of the game unless they, the traitors, mess up. Why not give clues to the faithful to help them figure out things since they only have 24 hours to come up with a suspect and convince others to vote that person out or maybe have two groups of traitors (each group with 2 members only) not knowing of each group’s identity as traitors and they not only need to eliminate the faithful but also each member of the other group of traitors? In the U.S. version they had people that have competed in other reality/competition shows before, compete with people who have no experience at all at this. This is also a big flaw in my opinion. Which make one wonder why did not one person actually vote for Cirie or other people that have participated in this type of competition show to be eliminated., based on the fact that they have just to see their reaction. Why the faithfuls did not consider them to be suspects to start with? After watching the U.S. version, I watched the Australian one and found it to be more enjoyable because players actually focused on the competition and were determined to eliminate the traitors. First of all, the Australian group did not include reality show celebrities and second, their faithfuls actually voted to eliminate others based on critical , logical thinking and what they thought to be suspicious behavior. In the American version people were voting each other out for the simple reason of not liking each other and when a faithful actually shared their suspicions based on logic the rest of the group voted that person out! In the Australian version the faithfuls actually eliminated 2 traitors in a shorter period of time than in the American one. It is on Peacock. I recommend it.

Wesley: Would you really want to be the guy who stopped Cirie Fields from winning for no betterment of his own? Also on Steph as a challenge competitor: Survivor Florida did a video with statistics on the challenge performance of every player across seasons 1-42 and Steph is fifth from the bottom (Ahead of Natalie White, Lydia from Guatemala, Crystal Cox and Mookie from Fiji). Notably her team score is worse than anyone except Mookie (who can't really be blamed since he was on pre and post swap Ravu) and her individual score would be much worse if not for her number of "near wins" (the most subjective component of the ranking and the one most likely to be dishonestly edited in the favor of a player like Steph).

Just starting the US season watched the British one, the British season was amazing, I loved the whole cast, everyone could use the money and they all got along, the drama was game drama and not personal and it was just really exiting to watch it play out. Everyone was new to TV. I already don't like the US season as much, why did they have to have former reality tv contestants and famous people. Why couldn't they give us a brand new cast of people who needed the money and would play the game like it was intended. What a stupid casting choice, I didn't want to see survivor and big brother and other reality show contestants on this show I wanted it to be something new 🙄. That was too much to ask apparently. Also the whole production seems worse, like they aren't sequestered at night to guarentee the traitors identity is hidden. Hoping the Australian one will be more like the UK version maybe season 2 will be all fresh faces in the US.

Hearing some of the things you didn't enjoy about the show, I think you would LOVE the UK season (there is only one and it had filmed, but not yet aired when the US season was filmed). Almost all the challenges were copy and pasted from the UK version, but since that one has a fully newbie cast, it had much more interesting group dynamics and felt more sincere. I have seen both and definitely preferred the UK season, even though I loved seeing Stephanie and Cirie again!

I love the traitor recruitment and I have a completely different opinion actually. I thought the first three episodes of the season are its weakest but the next seven are GREAT! Truly AMAZINGGGGG!!! 😃😁. I mean I watched the Traitors UK so I guess the first three episodes were monotone but I really thought the season picks up from when the note falls off from Kate. I really like the recruitment twist how is it unfair and it is in all of the Traitors version. It's a part of the format. Edit: Andie is VERY IMPORTANT to the season. She was the only one everyone knew is a faithful and it was her judgement that everyone trusted which is why Cirie needed Andie's trust Edit 2 -That's EXACTLY what happened in Traitors UK where one of the recruited traitors revealed the other traitor but obviously could not take their name and that tanks their games.
