The fact that Gab completely brute-forced the snail geyser puzzle at the beginning is impressive. I tried that a couple of times before figuring out the right way to do it: you put the snails on the platforms above to the side and they crawl off the edge onto the geysers. You start with the left one which is the highest, then the right, and then, once the other two jump off and onto the geysers, you place the middle one. The very first one falling onto the geyser as you swim into the room is supposed to be a hint. I think they tried to make brute forcing it almost not possible due to the timing needed, but Gab is just too quick haha

It's not everyday we see a game with this much passion put into. The animations, the variety of mechanics, the random minigames, the animations (yes, I mentioned it twice), were all just so good. There are a few things you missed. Three of the best servers are based on streamers; Raptor, El Nino~, and the bald guy are the best servers. Some of the biggest dishes can be worth over 1500 coins each. That bug you're missing is a picture, they appear in the glacial cave 1 or bottom left of the thermal vent. That shark you're missing is a night fish, blacktip I think. Just little things for discerning completionist. The big jade statue is in glacial cave 3. The best seahorse is a super rare event that can only happen after you mine rubies. ;p

The boss at 16.40 is an Anomalocaris canadiensis! It's a sea creature that lived 500 milions years ago, and it's one of the first creature to appear in the earth history ❤ (except for bacteria, amoebas etc)

44:25 I think the cucumber hate thing is related to Korean people (since the dev team are all Korean), I haven't seen anyone around me that hate cucumber but I know many Koreans who don't like it. That's just my assumption tho cuz i'm not Korean 😂

1:45:30 Did anyone else end up on the edge of their seat seeing Gab go through the fisheries, culling all fish that are rare/hard to find lots of/take up next to no space (all of which are required to produce some of the best dishes) to make room for bigger fish with moderate sell prices without max upgrades... instead of just saving up for a day to expand the fishery?

Yeah, this game is ridiculously stacked with mechanics. I bet there'll be DLC though. Still have a few mysteries to solve - Sea Blue and King Long, for example - and there are two open slots in the fish farm that I bet'll be filled with a DLC.

These finale episodes are always so bittersweet. I've loved this game since the very beginning, honestly have considered it right up there for 2023 with Tears of the Kingdom. If I were to ever go into streaming, this game would be one of my top choices to stream. And honestly, I'd have this one in my rotation for awhile if only to explore that new surprise mechanic after the last VIP Event ;) Anyway, as I figured, I did go ahead and pick up some sushi prior to this. Nothing fancy, just a tiger roll from my local grocery store. As much as I would have preferred restaurant grade sushi, I have a rule when it comes to restaurant sushi : 1) don't get it to go; a good sushi place for me is more than just the food; it's the atmosphere, the service, the drinks like sake bombs. My last sushi date was at a place called Sushi Train where the food is literally on a conveyor. You can't get that experience from takeaway. I might still hopefully go out to my local sushi joint this week; granted if I do it will likely be on my own. I fear I may be the only one in my social circle that even likes sushi; even my mom doesn't have a taste for it. Overall, I love how the entire game played out and it was a glorious ending/epilogue to the Sea People story arc. That last VIP Event was quite the surprise, too, both for who appeared and what the reward was. Anyway, thank you for introducing us to this game, Gab. And while a DLC episode would be nice, it couldn't hurt to attempt a bonus "branch" episode in the future. ;) GG

999 is such a great game!! I understand the dialogue getting repetitive can be annoying but it's definitely worth getting through the end of the game because the true ending is just mindblowing and the sequels are just AS GOOD! I hope you and Sean get to complete the game!! And I would totally love to see your gameplay, though I know it's not a known popular game. On another note, I'm sad Dave the Diver ended already 😭it was such a great series!! Thanks Gab!!

This has been a fun playthrough. I actually finished the game myself and even got all the achievements, yet I'm still playing it cuz i enjoy the vibes and still looking to complete other aspects of the games like maxing the staff, learning all the recipes, beating my own high score at the minigames, and more! I don't know if you ever went back to try the game again with the big content update that dropped last month, but it could be fun to see or even just experience!
