Hi Gabriel, I'm surprised to see many businesses open due to a custom in Latin culture especially in Spain, Spanish take their afternoon nap or in Spanish siesta. That's the reason you find more businesses staying open later.

@GabrielTravelerVideos5 жыл бұрын
There are two ferry companies there, Trans Mediterranea and Balearia. They both go between the islands so it's just a matter of which one is better timed for when you're planning to go. I forget how much it was but a little expensive, I think 30-40 euros.

09:33 -- In the afternoons, Spaniards wisely take their naps / their Siestas. When my folks were in Europe over the Summers many a moon ago, it took them a looooooooooooong time to get accustomed to eating din-din at night PM, I have to say. There is a real nightlife culture in Europe, the likes of which does not seem to exist Stateside. Gabriel, what do you think, has this been your experience being (almost) everywhere at night?

Another awesome video! What was the food price?
@GabrielTravelerVideos5 жыл бұрын
It was pretty cheap, I think around 9 euros for the plate. Food and drinks are very reasonable on both Menorca and Mallorca. But accommodation is through the roof. A dorm bed is as high as 50 euros and private rooms are of course even more.

Beautiful little historic town with an amazing harbour. Also very clean --- no litter. And I know you like graffiti/street art but really, I just think that stuff just makes a place look so down-trodden and suggests crime. Was that lasagne with some salad for lunch? And what were those small pebble-like things in the glass? Some kind of berry?

You know the big tall house that looks a little like a lighthouse but not quite with a satellite on top. Is it abandoned? Cos I went round the back and went inside and I was looking around the house and there were cobwebs and pigeon poo and a lot of dust but on the wall there was a calender with photos and the date 2008 and a moped parked inside itbl just looked like it had been left in a hurry. But the door was wide open and the kitchen was intact and there was a dead rat by the fridge

There are copyright issues with using music in youtube videos. I talked about that in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rIe7fpl3iKyUi9U You can't use any music you might find on the internet, you have to find music that doesn't have copyright restrictions. So finding music to use that is from a specific region is often impossible. You have to choose from a fairly narrow selection of more general music you can find, such as Spanish-language music, etc.

0:02 13:38 Dude stop using Caribbean music in Spain, and especially in Menorca. Menorca is a Mediterranean island, far far far farrrrrr away from Cuba, that's so disrespectful and ignorant thing Americans do
@GabrielTravelerVideos5 жыл бұрын
If you watch more of my videos, you will see that I use lots of music that isn't from that particular country. There are copyright issues when it comes to music, so you can't just use any music you want. You have to use music from certain sources that offer copyright free music. And that limits your selection a lot. Also it's a matter of the mood you're trying to set. I have some Spanish music, but it was too slow and didn't work as well for those scenes, so I went with something else.
