Welcome to the Italian Riviera! Also known as Liguria or the Ligurian Coast, this region of Italy stretches from France in the west to Tuscany in the east along the Mediterranean coast and is known for its idyllic fishing villages like Camogli, romantic resort towns like Portofino, and of course, delicious foods like pesto and focaccia - since they were created here! We had the pleasure of spending one full day exploring the beautiful coastline by bus, boat, and foot, and while one day is barely enough time to even scratch the surface of this incredible region, it was enough to let us know that we HAVE to come back!

We’re Matt & Nat, a part-time, non-remote travel couple based out of Nashville, TN.
We launched in 2021 by visiting all 50 US states & documented our entire journey on our Blog & here on KZbin! After spending a full year focused on such a defined goal, 2022 left us feeling a little lost & wondering "What's next?". We continued traveling & creating vlogs but always with the "What's next?" question lingering. During one of our trips, we came across the book “1,000 Places to See Before You Die” & were immediately drawn in by it & knew that it had to be a part of our adventures. So, in January 2023 we officially launched our “1,000 Places To See Before You Die” series where we’ve set out to see as many of the “1,000 Places To See Before You Die”… before we die!

Love this so much! My grandparents are from Genoa and I was able to go visit my roots a few years ago. It was amazing! And I guess the pronunciation is kinda to each their own. I know it is spelled Genova but my family says Genoa LOL. The absolute best part of our trip was finding food in the trattorias that very much resembled our family recipes that you don’t find in regular Italian restaurants here in the states! Thank you for bringing me back there for a short time! 🧡😁

3:12 houses are painted bright colors so the fisherman see them when they come back from fishing. every fisherman see where his house is. also buildings are high so the woman see the boats when their husbands come back from fishing. offcourse, that was in the past, they kept tradition.

My wife and I are currently planning a trip to Italy next year and our travel agent instead of the Amalfi Cost recommended us going to Cinque Terre region instead as Amalfi can get very expensive especially the hotels. I was a bit skeptical as I knew nothing of Cinque Terre. After Watching your video I am on board and look forward to seeing this area. Great video...btw!!

I really like your channell! You two are so beautitul/handsome and very appealing and thorough in showing out your experiences. I especiallyi like your music, handled so perfectly! I am sorry that your experience on MSC in Italy was such a dud. I sailed on the MSC Sea (it was very new, the second sailing, I think) and I loved every single thing thing about it! However, that was a sail out of Miami so maybe there really is a difference between the European sails versus the American ones. I will say, though, that every single review of MSC I have seen recently on various evaluations hated them...but they all were all European sails.

It really is! Such a stunning place! So, the exact tour that we did is only offered through the cruise line that we were with, but this one out of Genoa (bit.ly/3ZlAveY) is what we had planned on booking but ended up using cruise credits for the one we took instead.

That's is not the italian riviera, in italian riviera means more or less beautiful place near the cost, that is the riviera Ligure.

The Italian Riviera runs from the France border to the Tuscany border (based off of our research), but to your point, yes… Where we visited is the Ligurian Riviera but it is within the Italian Riviera boundaries.
