Blast from the past! My hubby and I rented a short term apt in Barcelona for 3 months in 2014 and fell in love with the city, the food, the architecture, you name it. You must go back and see Park Guell, the Barcelona Cathedral, and the beaches to name a few. And the shopping! Thanks for the memories😍.

There is a chain of non-touristy but friendly shops called Sandwichez all over Barcelona. They have good teas, coffees, sandwiches and chai lattes. A bit less instagrammable, but their chai is excellent and they have really good bikini sandwiches. That "trash truck" is for recycling.

@@AdventuresofMattandNat untouched tropical beaches and if you would do me the honor I collect sand from all over the world and I used to have it from Bermuda Bahamas India Croatia and a bunch of other places but when I moved to Montana I lost my storage unit in Washington but I would love to continue doing that if you go to any beaches can you collect sand for me so I can at least have part of that world with me? I know it's a lot to ask and maybe you don't want to do that but I have to ask

So I must have missed this video when it posted. Been loving your Italy series since I was just there. The video made me make a comment. You were at the amazing Sagrada Familia but didn’t go inside?! Guys, I would go inside EVERY time I visit Barcelona! It’s the most beautiful, incredible, mind blowing cathedral in the world! The inside is complete from what I can tell. They are just finishing up the exterior. The fact you were there and didn’t experience the inside is a traveling crime! lol Honestly, I seriously believe you must go back to see it asap. It was the highlight of my entire Spain trip and I’m not religious. Trust me, you have not seen anything like it in your life. The outside is completely different than the inside.

Maybe a lower third on the screen at the intro of the new thing that says "#6 - Tapas in Barcelona (whatever the actual thing is from the book) and then (page whatever)." This way we know what number of 1000 this is for you and where to find it in the book. Hope I'm not overstepping, just a thought...

In the book... I think the whole of Barcelona is one of the places. Do we count everything within that as well? Like it says to visit the cathedral, have tapas etc.. so we number each of those even though it's technically all included in the Barcelona category? or should the Barcelona video the #? Maybe when we say welcome to (insert city name, festival etc) do we put the page numbers then? idk. haha so many ideas! haha hence why we haven't landed on anything yet. I even thought at the end of the vlog adding a clip of the page with the title and stamping a checkmark or something like that. 🤷🏼‍♀😜🤣

@@AdventuresofMattandNat So I have the book and looking at it, it appears that each section separated by the orange line and then with the blue all cap title is 1 thing. For Barcelona, the things that are counted as part of the 1000 would be Ciutat Vella, Gaudi and La Sagrada Familia, and Parc De Montjuic. Then the other info in that section (the things in bolded black) is just additional information that might be helpful when you visit the place listed. As least that is how I read it. Anyway I'm done now being a backseat driver. Loving the series!

Honestly we were in Barcelona a way shorter time than Valencia & we didn’t do as much as we wanted because we were hanging with friends so at this time we would probably say Valencia but we are looking forward to going back to Barcelona & exploring more to give it a better shot. Great question! So we are part time & non remote travelers. We have jobs we have to get back to in Nashville. So we usually can only travel a couple days at a time hence the 1 day itineraries. In this particular instance, we did a Mediterranean cruise & only had the port stops which were usually a day. Our motto is that "we would rather see a place once than hear about it a thousand times." So we try not to let the fact that we can't travel for long periods of time get in the way of us getting out & seeing the world even if it's only for a day. :) So I hope that answers your question. ❤️ Thanks so much for watching!

Began our 10 day tour of Spain in 3 weeks ago in Barcelona. Amazing city, would like to go back and spend more time there. Maybe touristy but a stroll down La Rambla to the harbor worth the time. We topped it of with a harbor cruise on Las Golondrinas tour boats. Only 10 Euros for a 1 hour cruise. Finished the day with dinner at Glaciar Restaurant on the Placa Reial just off La Rambla.
