To those who wanna know Ruu's actual story (Gore warning): The tribed believed that the Thunderbird would protect them if they offered sacrifices. One day, the Thunderbird heard Ruu's song and liked it, the tribe noticed this and sacrificed Ruu to the Thunderbird by skinning him, cutting his tongue, pulling out his bones, and draining his blood while he is still ALIVE. The Thunderbird was enraged upon knowing this and decided to wipe out the entire tribe, cursing them eternally in a loop. In order to stop this, Ruu willingly volunteered to be sacrificed thousands of times while experiencing the same torture over and over again until the traveler found out Ruu's song would make everything stop. His dreams were to travel the world which is why he gave the feather to the traveler in order to fulfill his last wish

@@aivava4264 Thundering Fury Artifacts description. How ever in english some parts are left out so it doesnt sound so "cruel" but still gives a clear hint what happened back then. In chinese its literaly written like they tortured and massacred Ruu slowly. Dunno why they made it sound "softer" in english

ruu's quest literally traumatized me that it made me stop playing for a week (I had to ask my friend to use my acc for the coms), call it overreacting or whatever but I have a soft spot for kids like Ruu who died very young and wasn't able to live out their life, not to mention that his death kept repeating so meaning he had died SO MANY TIMES. That just makes me so sad bru he did not deserve all of that 😭

@@78_mary31 okay sooo Ruu is a boy who lives in tsurumi island like thousands or hundreds of years ago. One day he was singing in a mountain, which was heard by the thunderbird or Kapatcir (Ruu gave that name to the thunderbird). The thunderbird asked Ruu of why he wasn't afraid if the thunders and ruu said that with his voice he can calm down the thunder which peaked the thunderbird's interest so Ruu promised the thunderbird that he will one day sing for him again and the thunderbird held on to that promise. But unfortunately, the people of tsurumi island thought that the thunderbird wanted Ruu for himself so they sacrificed him (Ruu agreed to it cuz he thought it was the right thing to do). So when the thunderbird came and saw what was left of Ruu (if you play the game there's an artifact set called thundering fury, the details of what happened to Ruu is there), the thunderbird got angry so he went berserk and killed the people of tsurumi island, he also put a curse on the island. A time loop curse, which is why I said in my comment that Ruu died so many times, the thunderbird's curse will only be lifted up if he hears Ruu's voice, because like I said, he hold onto Ruu's promise that he will hear him sing again. And the thunderbird was also killed by the electro archon's kagemusha, idk why but I think it was because he put a curse on tsurumi island and the kagemusha saw it as a threat or something
