Dear Miss Lori, Thank you for brightening this dreary, rainy day with another delightful video! Wish I could send you some rain for your beautiful, newly planted sweet potatoes. Love watching you plant while listening to your calm southern accent! Yesterday I watched you make your Coca Cola chicken and it looked wonderful! You make everything look so easy and simple! Mr. Brown was certainly enjoying it…….I’ll take his word for it!🤗🤭 How do I go back and watch your very first videos? I’ve missed so much. Have a happy weekend! 💕💕Jackie🪷

Ms Lori, did you know that you can eat the sweet potato leaves? Sweet potato greens (the leaves) are widely eaten throughout Asia & Africa, they are less well known to most of us in the U.S. The good news is they're edible and delicious, high in Vitamin C and B6. And that makes sweet potatoes even more of a great survival crop. Once you plant all of the sweet potatoes that you want, you could use the rest of the leaves to cook as greens to see how you and Mr. Brown like them. I live in rural Georgia, do you think it is too late for me to grow some sweet potato slips? How long does it take to grow the slips from a sweet potato? Which sweet potatoes do you like the best, or do you have a preference between the red Beaugard or the purple Japanese sweet potato?

I never raised sweet potatoes, or at least I didn't think I have. I have started sweet potatoes just like you did using the sweet potatoes. Then I planted ir in a hanging flower pot just for the vines. Since I seen what you do, I thinking it might had made some baby sweet potatoes in the pot. I never thought about it. Glad you shown us this ,it gives me some ideas. About the rain, you can have it, I just received over 6 inches of rain this past week, I don't need any more for awhile. It wash my garden away and got to start all over again when it get dry enough. My place stays wetter than a lot of other people, cause I'm at the bottom of 3 hills. That makes me have a latter garden than most, but when it makes it really makes. Hope you guys get some rain soon. God bless you both .😊

Me and my wife have been watching your videos for a few years now and we were wondering if you plan on doing any pickled eggs and or sausage recipes? There are so many different ingredients people use we're not sure which would be the best for us as we both prefer them to not to be hot but spicy is okay. Also because sweet Jalapenos are hard to find near us, like the pickled eggs and sausage, we'd like to try pickling our own of them as well. We also are retiring and bought a R.V. we haven't used yet and hope to see you'all on the road one day as we live close to you in Oklahoma. Thank you.

Was wondering how long did it take for the vines to grow before you take them off to replant. We usually buy the plants already with roots on them and if we try to make our own would help from not have to pay for them. They can be costly here in our area in Indiana. Thanks love all your videos for cooking and planting.

Also , check out her last video before this one. She shows how to pick off the slips. She encouraged me to grow them for the first time. I've been gardening for 40 Years. However, I have tried sweet potatoes. Anyways, the last video gave closer info for starting and picking the slips. But I've also watched people grow their sweet potatoes in a half pan of soil and it seems to start even better. Research what will do best for you and your area ❤

The vines will grow up the trellis but the sweet potato will be underground.

Ms. Lori, Hi it's Jeff & Ella from N.C.. We were talking about tea cake recipes including yours. We decided that you should try something we love. A peanut butter and fried egg sandwich on toast. It's eat over your plate messy but delicious. We love you & Danny very much. ❤

I've heard of some wild peanut butter sandwich combos, but that one takes the cake! 😊 It almost sounds worth trying (says the gal who wants peanut butter on her pancakes every time!) 😉😋

Thanks for this, Miss Lori. I'm going to start some for my garden. It's still too cold here in northern NY, so hopefully we'll have some for this year. 😊

We’re in north central Wisconsin and we bought a yam today to try growing sprouts for future planting. Don’t know if it’ll work this s far north but we’ll find out! All we have invested is the one yam. 😁
