Guys, what fight were you watching? Body punches are scored as well. Usyk landed a TON to the body in the first three. Like tens of punches goddammit. Yes, they were not super powerful, but they clearly landed and should be counted to the score. What the hell were you watching when saying Usyk did not land anything.
@allydign2749

First 3 rounds were close, but Usyk edged them all. Fury then won 4-7 and his big mistake was not putting the pedal down then. Took round 8 off and got smashed in the hooter, then (effectively) dropped in the 9th. Recovered well but had left himself too much to do. If his corner really were telling him he’d won the fight and to just box in the 12th, then that’s just crazy. Usyk by 3 was fair.

Fury did dominate the first half of the fight. Usyk was on the front foot so to the casual eye this may look like he's winning but he kept getting caught with heavy shots on the way in. Fury repeatedly walked him on to uppercuts etc that were hurting usyk. Just like Eddie said Usyk did really well to turn it around and deservedly had his.hand raised. It wasn't a walk in the park by any means though

Usyk is the modern day Great of HW. You can't compare today's fighters to the old days, people don't fight half as often and hence can't get the legacies of old anymore. Modern day promotion takes too long and there are too many delays and pullouts.

He's trying to pump water out of the sinking ship. He needs people to believe that Fury is still relevant to get the BIG payday from an AJ fight at Wembly. Problem is, if Usyk can spark Fury out, from a left cross while giving away two stone, what happens to Fury when AJ connects on Furys chin? If I was Fury, 8 kids to be taking care of, I'd get out now and do it properly, rather than drooling and in a wheelchair.

Think Eddie's fallen prey to viewing the fight through the green lenses of a future AJ match up. Regardless, it was definitely one of the most entertaining HW match up's i've ever seen. I actually thought Usyk was solved at the end of round 6. Fury was landing some withering body shots and just seemed to have him timed. I felt like that was it, big man beats the little man. Absolute herculean effort from Usyk to turn that round. There seems to be quite a lot of disagreement with the scorecards. I had it as below, anyone else have it similar? Usyk - Fury 10-9 10-9 9-10 9-10 9-10 9-10 9-10 10-9 10-8 10-9 10-9 10-10 Usyk 115-113 As a side note, the fight should have been stopped in round 9...1 fighter, utterly incapable of defending themselves for 20+ seconds is pretty ridiculous. I know it's for the undisputed and I don't really mind it continuing but it should have been stopped. Apologies for writing so much but as somebody who watches this sport every week, listens to all the interviews from all the cards on almost all the main channels - this will probably remain as one of the biggest night of our wee sports existence :D

Wanted Usyk to win but was a bit worried by the middle rounds as Fury was jabbing his head off and also landed some heavy shots which, if he'd have kept that pressure on, instead of boxing on the defensive we could have seen a different result. But hats off to Usyk. He never stopped coming forward and by sheer grit and determination he wore Fury down and the near knock down in the ninth was as much down to tiredness and a cumulation of shots than anything. In rounds 4 to 6, Fury showcased a glimpse of Muhammad Ali’s legendary style. His movement, jabs, and precise hitting dominated Usyk, proving that such a strategy could dismantle him. However, Ali would have taken this to an entirely different level. With superior mobility, relentless jabs, and a higher work rate, Ali wouldn’t have just outboxed Usyk; he would have overwhelmed him, likely securing a knockout. Ali's unparalleled combination of speed, strategy, and power would have left no doubt-he would have dismantled Usyk with his relentless pace and brilliance, affirming his dominance over any era of heavyweights, including Fury.

Big respect to russ, great fight and most importantly the right man won. Very close but in a fight of that magnitude it was so important the conversation wasnt about the scorecards. Obviously some very close rounds but Usyk, wow. Fury was and will still be in the conversation for one of the greatest heavyweight’s of all time but Usyk is phenomenal. One of the P4P best of our generation. Inoue, crawford, all amazing but to win the fight in the manner he did, including round 9 which on another night the ref could have jumped in was incredible. Fair play to Tyson aswell, bring on the rematch, even more intriguing!

These UK people never saw it coming. LOL. The judges should have given Usyk more points than they did. It should have been unanimous. It is so funny. Hearn oh my gosh. He's always been hoodwinked by his bias. It was 3-3 at the 6th round. LOL.

All Fury's supporters said he was in great shape, and he gave it his all on the night (said so himself) and lost to the better fighter. As I predicted, he wasn't comfortable with the pace Usyk set for the fight; Usyk's alleged "weakness to the body" was also totally debunked in this fight, Fury landed some vicious uppercuts to his stomach with little or no effect. Fury also tried the much-vaunted grabbing and leaning to use his weight, again to no effect. Every trick that was supposed to win him the fight met a dead end; I saw nothing obvious that Fury could have done differently without getting punished, plus he suffered a debilitating knockout in R9 (even if it wasn't scored as such, he was definitely gone.) So if the rematch does go ahead, I can't see Fury turning this around. That being said, it was a gruelling night for both fighters and baring the rematch, I agree with Carl Froch, that Usyk should now bow out on a high. Usyk recently changed his tune and was talking about fighting for another 3 years. IMHO, as undisputed was always his goal since he first moved up to heavyweight, and now he's done it, there's nothing left for him to prove.

After 6 round it was either 3-3 or 4-2 Usyk. Tyson won 7 and 8. Usyk won 9, 10, 11 and 12 is debatable but I gave it Usyk. Usyk won quite clearly, it was close up until the 8th. Then Usyk took over and went up a gear or 2.

that guy saying usyk won the first 5 is crazy lmao. Hearn is absolutely right - Usyk looked done; Fury was controlling and dominating him. Never seen Usyk look so tired and so desparate - with wild swings, he looked frustrated n was getting clobbered to the body and with uppercuts. Fury was in control rounds 2-7 for sure.

Fury’s showboating antics worked on Eddie but facts are that Usyk threw less punches and landed more in those first 6 rounds. Therefore he won those rounds. Not to mention he was pressing Fury who was on the back foot.

Nah, Fury takes an AJ fight at Wembly (and most likely gets sparked out) and Usyk retires. Nothing more to prove. Whats left? Beat Hrgovic? Zhang? It'd be a waste of time. Third fight with AJ? Usyk don't need the money. He's completed all the main questline. Time to enjoy life being rich.

Fury was 5-3 up going into the 9th. He might deserve the stick he is getting and needs to take his L but people making out the fight wasnt close are just hating. The compubox figures tell the story and show a case that a judge could have given Fury all of the first 7 rounds. The rounds 1-7 that were scored for Usyk were super tight and at least 4-5 of them Fury won clearly. Fury getting his nose popped swung the momentum.
