SNSD is not as massive as they once were but why they will always be legends is because of their longevity. They are close to their 15 year anniversary, and their popularity remains high and their fanbase is still strong. SNSD members are still very visible and active in Korea and Asia. Most popular groups will struggle to even make it to 7 years. Their longevity to last this long despite all the issues over the years, is special, and unheard of. They continue to be role models for aspiring Idols, their songs continue to be benchmarks for Kpop. People just cant forget them.

Only because they're not promoting together but everything they do is a hit in their solo projects. Some making/breaking music records while the other viewers record for their dramas, movies or variety shows appearances. Snsd is just as big in my opinion. They will be bigger with a comeback cause that's what the world need. The fans are still here and that's why they are successful in all areas outside of Girls' Generation/SNSD. The name is constantly being used in just about every program today. The name just have to mentioned and it becomes a trend. They were recently trending this week because two members commented the other page. They arw always on the female group monthly ranking. Some of them even when doesn't have an activity.

When it comes to setting the standard and trend SNSD have it all. Original as it best and forever K-pop legendary Girl group. The first experimental song in K-pop that was named as K-pop Bohemian Rhapsody and the start of colorful Mv with amazing camera shoot after all it's SM they don't disappoint. This mv also won KZbin video of the year beating popular artist like Bieber and lady gaga with total of 3 million votes over western artist with thousands of vote.

This song came on my radar because people were calling it the K-Pop Bohemian Rhapsody, and I wasn't disappointed. It's full of little bits of genius, like the line ''Let's bring it back to 140'' referring to both 140 bpm AND 1:40 in the song where the original switchup happened. A real classic! And the only reason this fashion works for the girls is because they own it and don't apologize for it! PS: there's footage out there of Weeekly doing a karaoke cover of this song on a variety show and it is soooo precious!

Sones really really appreciate how you can name almost all members of SNSD. most Reactors now, be like mixing up their names and it's so frustrating sometimes. They are literally The Nation's Girl Group and the Ultimate Kpop Queens. Way before Reactors come into place, GG was there already. So We thank you so much. With regards to Jess and other girls, We sones believe in their friendship. There must be some contract where SNSD members should not mention Jess in the media that is why they always avoid that topic but we know how special their bond is not just as bandmates but as sisters. As a sone for more than 10 years now, I can tell how genuine their friendship is. One thing is for sure, Jessica and the rest of the girls are in a happier field now. We still hope for ot9 tho, ot8 is always forever as mentioned by the members themselves even after leaving SM. One day, for sure they'll rock the stage once again.

Fun fact: The MV for Girls' Generation's "I Got A Boy" was produced by Zanybros the same company that is now representing the new Kpop soloist AleXa. In 2013 this video topped the charts and it beat American MVs by Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, etc. for video of the year at the KZbin video awards. SNSD are "the nation's girl group" and considered queens for a reason. :D "I Got a Boy" was part of the era when Kpop songs were created to give an equal amount of lines to every member. So, because SNSD has 9 members, this song is longer than a lot of Kpop songs, which gives them time to do a lot of different things in the song. ;P Switching up the beat in Kpop songs is just kind of part of what makes Kpop unique. Case in point, in "I Got a Boy" Jessica literally says, "Lets bring it back to 1-40" which is a reference to switching up the tempo -- changing it from that slower ballad section and bringing the song back to the faster beat. "I Got a Boy" is structured the same way as BigBang's song, "Bang Bang Bang," but "Bang Bang Bang" came out in 2015, 2 years later. And ever since then, it has pretty much become SM's signature song structure style, as we have heard from songs like aespa's "Next Level," and the majority of NCT's and WayV's songs, etc.

From what I have heard about the situation with Jessica was that she started a fashion company that quickly became successful. SM didn't think it would blow up like that and became not cool with the idea of her making bank without them getting a slice of the pie. This created tension and scheduling conflicts and I'm pretty sure SM gave her the ultimatum of stay in the group and neglect the fashion company or for her to leave. Of course nothing has really been confirmed, but out of all the versions of the theory I have heard this made the most sense to me.
@riffgroove2 жыл бұрын
No, SM knew from the outset that they weren't going to be making anything from Jessica's company. They told her very specifically she was not allowed to use SNSD's name to promote it. The issue started when Jessica started neglecting her duties to the group.

@robvandenbosch48972 жыл бұрын
@@riffgroove she obviously satisfied SM cause she confirmed 2 times that she could do both. But due to team pressure on SM it escalated. SM even says the lacked mediation so they failed hard as a company as well: However, recently with Jessica starting her fashion business while there was a lack of specific mediation regarding the interests and prioritization of Girls’ Generation’s activities. This just reads as they didnt do a fuck and came in when it was already too late. They were all too blame not just Jessica. OT9 and SM were all to blame for this.

I believe this song is the beginning of the current "SM sound." Nobody knew what to make of this at the time, but this song shaped the songs of so many future SM groups. Regarding Jessica. People like to make the situation a lot more complicated than it actually is. If you read both Jessica's and SM's statements, they both say pretty much the same thing. SM says that Jessica was spending so much time starting her fashion company that it was interfering with her duties to the group. In Jessica's statement, she admits that is the reason she was relieved of her duties. The bottom line is, if Jessica was as devoted to the group as she claimed she was, the only people she had to prove it to were SM and the rest of SNSD. She obviously failed to do that.
