Hi Dan. Great video as usual and what a car. I bought one off these 32 years ago. 1900 sl and put a 18r gr in it as the 8r b was cooked. it was my pride and joy. I still have it in the shed. It still drives but is a little more wasabi if you know what I mean. Thanks for the vid.

That's awesome. Do you have plans for it? Which part of the world are you in? (Not that I think I'd be able to drop by)

It’s on the list to restore however the list is fairly long. In Western Australia

That's a really nice car there Daniel. At a glance and looking at it from certain angles plus ignoring the front end,one could be forgiven for thinking that it was an RX2 coupe. ;)

Back in the late 90s I owned a 1970 sport GS much the same as that one and a 1971 lux which had the same front as the Ute and a different interior/dash. I would have loved to keep them but life got in the way and them along with 2 Datsun 1000 coupes, a Datsun 1200 coupe and a 1955 kombi have all managed to slip away in fairly short order.

Really not sure what GSL stands for. I googled, and googled again. No info. I'll just stick with my version.

Hey Dan'l. Beautiful looking car. I've always loved this gen Toyota (Toyopet) Corona Mk II. My aunt and uncle had a Corona Mk. II 4 door sedan. It wasn't as nice as this, but it was a good car.

Nice! Yeah, I knew these were exported to the US, which to me is surprising because we never got them in Australia.

Beautiful car Daniel great job , I tend to agree with what you are saying about new cars being somewhat boring and plastic , Although on the other end of the spectrum did you get a chance to see the new Tesla pickup ? The high end version of that truck is wicked fast 🤘

Marty, I wish I could! 2 hour daily commutes, a full time job teaching, and a full time job with WasabiCars nights and weekends, so the schedule is so locked in that you would not believe. (Trust me. I've tried explaining to people how busy I am and they actually still think I watch TV, movies, play games, go out for dinner, relax, spend time with family... It just doesn't happen. All my vids come out on Saturday evening after a full day's work and working on it. Sorry for that, Marty. I'll be thinking of you on the 7th
