@@ChefJeanPierre I agree - if you don't make mistakes, you don't develop. And you have to adjust to variations in raw materials and tastes. You complained once that some spices tasted like nothing. That is a general biological development.Roses look much better these days; but they don't smell.

Anyone saying chef's recipes are too hard need to really get a reality check. I'd be hard pressed to find any video that uses anything close to specialty equipment or impractical cooking techniques. Its easy simple quality home cooking, not microwaving hot pockets or making biscuits out of soda pop al tik tok. Keep On Keeping On Chef, love your content.

Chef, I speak for myself, but I suspect a lot of others here as well. We watch you, not because you make something more simple, we watch you to see how to do things that we don't know how to do and become better at cooking delicious things. There's many other reasons, but I think that's the basic of it. If people want something more simple, there's that tick tack tock ;)

Chef, there are a million KZbin recipes with, "Easy, Fast, Quick..." in the title. We are not here to rush any meal rather we are here to learn proper techniques. Food is very expensive and learning how to make the most out your groceries is paramount. It is your channel so continue treating us like we are students in your class. If viewers don't like learning how to properly cook there are a lot of videos out there specializing in mediocre dishes.

I have in the bottom of my fridge a package of boneless skinless chicken thighs. I say to myself, how am I going to cook these. Let me look through Chef's chicken Playlist. When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, the very first video I see is a chicken thigh roast, which is perfect for an easy Sunday night dinner. Chef, I've watched every video of yours and recreated many of your recipies. Not only that, but the techniques, and most importantly, the why's of why you do something have allowed me to apply your teachings to other recipies. Thank you for the years of videos, and I hope you keep sharing your teaching and love of cooking. God bless you Chef ❤

Chef, please don't change anything! I appreciate you wanting to make recipes more simple with less steps or ingredients, but you have so much more to offer to us! I have always enjoyed cooking but I have learned to LOVE cooking because of you. You have shown me many new techniques, introduced me to new (and old!) recipes and ingredients, and always provide clear instructions for each ingredient and what they bring to the dish. You have been an invaluable resource and an amazing teacher for me and for countless others! EDIT: Adding in that your video on "How to Salt Like a Pro" was crucial in increasing my confidence in seasoning a dish. Now I never worry about under or over salting because I use your technique every time I cook.

What I love about you, Chef, is that you are willing to admit that something you do is not up to your standards and quickly give a recommendation to us viewers on how to correct it. The example is with the carrots that you made with the dish. That is something that I really appreciate above all else and what makes you stand above all other KZbin culinary chefs who would rather do another take than admit something was amiss. Much love and respect.

My Dad made lemon chicken. I've made it many times (I'm a bit of an addict..). I've got all his recipes and some he made up for me long before he died. one day (or 5 years) I'll go through all of them. He was a true gourmet chef, a gourmand and he loved French food but never stopped there and cooked from all cuisines. He had one rule, you have to try it but you don't have to eat it if you don't like it. His sons were exposed to every type of food on the earth. The only dish I had that he never made was schnitzel from The German Cafe in Sierra Vista Az of all places! as sad as it is, I'm glad I live 900 miles away or I'd weight 900 lbs! Funny he never made it because he did a good bit of German cooking. Not German but Welsh, comes to mind, he did a bier rarebit that makes my mouth water remembering it.

Chef Jean Pierre, I love your show and your energy - it brings such lightness during these hectic, chaotic times. I went to university in Aix many years ago - spent a lot of time at Le Grillon and Les Deux Garçons. It would be very nostalgic for me to see you cook a bouillabaisse or cassoulet sometime please 🙏🙏🙏

Le Grillion and Les deux Garçons certainly brings back great memories!!! I already released a Bouillabaisse and a cassoulet video. Both of course very “Américanisted” ❤️👍 kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5jOaHqmfap7gtEsi=DlhbOF2o08F0ne22 kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnuxdIOMZrhrhacsi=wrrXa-qnQ74aLWM2

Loved the candor when you admitted your carrots were not as good as you whished, then gave the solution to cut them even thinner. Your mistake showed us your mental process and a way to transport that knowledge to other recipes. Thank you Sir!

I agree with many of the other comments; I enjoy cooking and with that comes dishes. I usually have 3-5 pans being sued every night!! 😂. Some of us follower’s are not beginners. We love the more advanced recipes as well as the simple ones, like this one. Thank you for your incredible knowledge that you share so graciously with us. I’ve learned so much from you. You’re aces in my book!!

For some reason carrots do seem to take longer to cook to tenderness --- that's why I like to start them in the microwave for a few minutes before marinating and then baking them with everything else. That marinade/sauce looks delicious. I just bought a pack of thighs. Now I know what I'm going to do with them.

I wait every week to receive your new recipe, I appreciate all your teaching techniques, started my weekly menu, I was lucky enough that today is chicken dinner, I had everything I needed to cook this meal, and yes one pot dinner is so easy, you should teach us more of one pot dinners, oh by the way, my husband loved it, so thank you for making my cooking experience easy, I love to cook my Egyptian food but the spices doesn't set well with him, I love watching you you make me laugh and that is what makes you fun to watch 🙂

Looks like a great meal! I’ll keep in mind the thickness of the carrots to cook evenly with the chicken and potatoes!
