I must say that 5 star weapons do make a lot of difference. My Yanfei does the same amount of damage with only 130 crit damage because she has skyward Atlas.

In my opinion, I like using yanfei with skyward atlas, because the damage is more stable compared to widsith, and I'm using her as a dps, crowned her basic attack. Although widsith buff is indeed very good for yanfei burst dps, because of more crit..

Yanfei is my favorite Pyro DPS so far. I’m at 70crit and 186 crit damage. She saves my ass from many annoying situation and even spiral abyss. Why is 4 stars like her and Ningguang are so OP, haha. But Hutao banner is finally coming. Can’t wait to pull Hutao

ahhhh we use almost the same team when you were testing it out on the cryo regisvine. my yanfei is still at c0 (she only came home once on ayaka's banner) but with bennett + sucrose + diona and the widsith passive my current highest record for her is 47K. i hope i get better artifacts. i don't like her ratio right now 😂 great video though!!

Go with whichever set that has the best substats. It’s harder to farm Wanderers Troupe than Crimson Witch so if you dont have good Wanderers Troupe pieces I would recommend farming Crimson Witch. They both do about the same damage with very little difference. Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video.

go for crimson witch if you play with elemental combo (fischl, raiden, xingqiu, etc) for consistent dps. go for wanderers troupe and widsith if you go for one shot nuke.

I've tested this out already but don't have a video. Pyro dmg from crimson benefits all Yanfei's dmg. While Wanderer's mainly provide boost on her charged attacks. However, Yanfei's main dmg mostly lies on her charged attacks(which also boosts her after charged passive talent). So, WT is better than crimson(for Yanfei), considering it also provides elemental mastery. In conclusion, choose the one you have with better stats. But if you have them equally good, Wanderer's troupe is Yanfei's bis artifact set. :))

yanfei main here too, I'm also conflicted b/w using an R2 Widsith and an R5 Dodoco, but now I know which one to pick. I was previously using R5 Dodoco with EM sands, should I now change my sands to ATK if I'm changing to widsith? Same set and con too (wanderer's, c6)

Hahah thanks. If you’re going for a main dps Yanfei I’d highly recommend pulling for Xingqiu as his rain swords have long range. You could use Kaeya or Rosaria. I would recommend using Yanfei as a sub dps using widsith, also use a shield character for this team as you will be closer to the enemies to proc melt reactions. For more expensive options there’s Baal. I personally haven’t tested her or any electro charge teams with Yanfei though.

I haven’t tested out that many Yanfei comps yet, but I’ve found out Beidou and/or Fischl work pretty well with her! Also anemo units like Kazuha (or just anyone who can group enemies together) is a lot of fun :) On my current Yanfei (/friendship farm) team I have her, Kazuha, Qiqi and Beidou and their synergy is really great! Especially if I can get Kazoo’s burst effected with cryo then it’s VERY fun

@@lgooch Yeah that comp seems fine. Personally I’d replace Rosaria with Bennett for pyro resonance and his overpowered burst. If you have C4 Yanfei (shield on burst) you could replace Diona instead. This is strictly speaking in terms of Abyss though. Dont overthink team comps for the normal open world. Use the characters that you enjoy playing and have fun experimenting different team comps.

If you have xingqiu, use xingqiu instead, your normal attacks will be cryo if you're inside of chongyun's E and fishcl might mess up your reactions. If you want a cryo applicator then rosaria and diona is good enough.

I do not have Childe but I think that team would lower Childes damage since he cannot vaporize. Yanfei would be fine since Xingqiu can apply hydro off field. Childe would work well with characters that can apply pyro off field like Xiangling and maybe the upcoming Thoma. You could try something like Childe Yanfei Xq and Thoma. If Thoma’s shield is good enough and Xingqiu’s healing is sufficient it might be a good comp.

R5 Dodoco Tales is better if you use Yanfei as your on field main dps since it has a more consistent passive. Widsith will give you higher damage numbers but only for 10 seconds because of the passive. So use the Widsith if you’re running Yanfei as a sub dps.

Ideally 75% rate is best, but 60% rate is also good enough. Aim for 75% on the long run but dont stress about it too much.

I have tried shimenawa on Yanfei before and even though she does do a decent amount of damage I’d still suggest crimson or wanderers troupe for her since Yanfei’s attacks are slow enough to do reactions.

She won’t be able to hit as hard as a C6 Yanfei because of the fourth seal and the +3 Burst talent but c2 Yanfei still does hit pretty hard. I only managed to get Yanfei c3 on her first rate up banner (Zhongli rerun) so until Ayaka’s banner came along I used her at c3 and she definitely didn’t disappoint.
