I literally dropped my phone in my drink reading the chapter in a bar with my girlfriend and she was like "wtf" and I was like "Luffy just punched dragon kaido right after it's confirmed that the plan is stealth" then she pulled out her phone and proceeded to read the episode and she dropped her phone in her drink then the waiter was like "wtf, I didn't know we serve phone tea here" and we said "Luffy just punched Dragon Kaido" and he pulled out his phone and proceeded to read the chapter then he also dropped his phone in our drinks after which we sued the bar and I got a new phone and here I am watching this video now

Luffy definitely can't be a part of Kin'emon's plan anymore. Partly because Luffy exposed himself, and partly because this plan requires stealth and patience...the kind of which he noticeably lacks. And let's face it, from the outset, Luffy was not gonna stay hidden for 2 weeks, that's asking for the impossible. So, he's either gonna get captured, as mentioned in the video, or him, Zoro and Law will have to leave the island so as to distract Kaido and let the others follow through on the plan. Because now that they know that Luffy is there, Kaido's crew will possibly start swarming Wano in search of him, potentially putting a damper on the rebellion.

@Marquise Downing I think he will not really injure him. Think of it like Kaido's weak point. Also chinese dragons according to mythology have 1 scale reversed. It's their weakest point. So Zoro just need to shishisonson that scale, and Kaido is done. Ofcourse if Oda would stick to this mythology mambo jambo. Chinese dragons are immortal but not invincible. :)

I yelled Elephant Gun when Luffy Punched him. Here’s what I think will happen, while this punch may not have done enough to hurt Kaido, perhaps since he was so drunk maybe the unexpected Elephant Gun to the head actually caused him to black out due to the alchohol. The final panel of his eye wasn’t one of surprise or pain or anger or anything. It was blank, the same type of eye Oda draws when someone is completely out usually. I’m not implying that Luffy just beat Kaido, no not at all... But if Luffy knocked Kaido out even for a minute then word of that would spread to the people of Wano and also the hidden allies. Plus it would give Kaido even more incentive to get Luffy.

Luffy went Gear Fourth and Kong Gun against the much smaller Big Mom...Big Mom completely overpowered Luffy sending him back with ease. Maybe he knows going Gear Fourth probably wouldn't work or Luffy, being Luffy, just wanted to make his presence known to Kaido and willingly used a weaker punch against Kaido.

i don't think that luffy saw the future after kaido's attack - its classic luffy to be enraged after someone destroying a place precious to people he knows/holds dear to him - still the look in his eye on that panel did confuse me, he looked really terrified anyways, as much as i would love action all of a sudden, i have a feeling that law will make a big room and replace luffy with some rocks (would that be logical? im not sure, but kaido is directly above ruins and stuff) and since kaido is drunk, he will probably get over this easily. still, im really surprised and hyped that this chapter went into the direction it has. maybe next week we get some full on fight, maybe zoro shows up drunk too and he and kaido become best mates, drinking buddies nice one, oda!

I think a great use for Hawkins as a character would be to make him the poster boy for the series' take on fate as a concept and I would really love to see that because Hawkins acting on fate would probably be an interesting look at fatalism, except not so much in the surrendering of the inevitable but in reading how the forces of the world conspire to make things happen. He would be a great character study if that is the case.

I think what everyone should know and remember is that when Luffy is enraged his attacks become legendary. We've seen that in Impel Down against Black Beard and Minataurus. Plus, Elephant Gun actually took out the legendary Kraken.

While yes, going G4 would make sense since he already did it against big mom and got away with it reasonably well, G4 is a temporary boost and can't be used unless there is a reasonable expectation that it will do the job in that timeframe or that Luffy has a foolproof way to escape without massive casualties (hence the tragic look on their faces when Caesar's Mirror shattered in front of them).

I feel like all of the One Piece youtubers seem to overlook is that Teach, Law and Beige were all supernova who betrayed the Organizations that employed them and from that focal point, which seems to reflect in the minds of their contemporaries, is that none of the Supernova willingly submit to a stronger force unless it's for their own benefit. And as of right now Kaido has 3 of the Supernova in his employ, 1 he has in his prison and two actively working against him. Based on these facts I can honestly say Wano is going to become a near total wasteland by the end of this arc with Momo serving as the new Shogun who opens it doors to receive help due to Kaido, Big Mom and EIGHT (because I'm including Killer) Supernova having nearly entirely DESTROYED it! I see what you mean about character quirks but more often then not I find that Oda subverts our expectation just to do so. When most of the time he gives these quirks to characters I find that he makes them silly. And sure. I enjoy silly sometimes.....but my god he makes so many people silly....like everyone eventually will get a bite from the silly bug. I kinda was hoping kaido was the exception. But alas, not so much. At least being drunk and being silly is totally reasonable as to the standard way that they're just freaks on their own but then have a serious persona making them feel bipolar in a lot of cases. luffy seen kaido's attack with the futuristic color of observation haki... unlike Katakuri, Luffy has not mastered this... While he was able to use it during the battle, I can see flashes of lvl 2 observation haki intervening at sporadic times like Luffy's conqueror haki burst used to. With that being said, Law was not visibly upset when he lost sight of luffy, indicating he did not just watch his crew possibly die. And it might explain why Luffy's punch was a mere elephant gun in gear 3..
