I have never enjoyed a single full episode, even the Ishitani directed episodes. I can only handle clips. The pacing and art quality are overwhelmingly awful in 99.9999% of all the episodes I cannot comprehend anyone liking it without Stockholm syndrome. I can power through the entire 110 ish volumes of the manga every couple years and have time of my life, I cannot imagine abusing myself or anyone else with the anime.

1:13:11 The anime industry has very limited work force due to overproduction, we as One Piece fans are very lucky to have this level of consistent quality on a never ending weekly series, because so many talented artists feel inspired to work on it. The quality of any given episode or scene depends on the availability of said artists, it's not Toei as a monolith deciding "ok this time we'll put a lot of effort and this time none", it's all all about allocating resources, which are not infinite. There are many seasonal shows that look overall worse than any given 12 episodes the OP anime has put together since Wano.

Calling the BB Pirates "ass" after how much they've accomplished is crazy. Like, I'm sorry, you're surprised that Yonko commanders are getting thrown around by THE Monkey D. Garp? You're surprised that they aren't all on the level of Benn Beckman or smth? We've already seen time and time again that Yonko commanders vary in strength, with the Beast Pirates having the Tobbi Roppo and the All Stars, there being a massive disparity from Tobi Roppo < Jack < King and Queen, and even in the Straw Hats, every one of them is a commander, but they aren't all on the level of a first commander. The same obviously goes for every other Yonko crew too, even Whitebeard's. Not everyone there was an Ace, or a Jozu, or a Marco. They were all plenty strong, don't get me wrong, but they weren't all THE strongest. The difference with the BB Pirates lies in that they're all, well, at least REALLY strong, seeing as how they were al either pre-existing members that Blackbeard sought out, level 6 Impel Down prisoners, or extremely high ranking government employees, not to mention that they all have completely broken devil fruits. I legitimately commend all of the BB Pirates for stalling Garp and still getting up after taking hit after hit from Garp.

Except for the fact that BB pirates are confirmed frauds after what happened with shiryu lol. Even Blackbeard himself is weak as fuck. Compare stark difference of Blackbeard's performance against law to shanks' performance against kidd

@@silver_soulrealistically, the BB pirates are overall stronger than the straw hats. The straw hats have half the crew being relatively useless in combat. Whereas blackbeards crew seems to be all capable combatants with good devil fruits. Straw hats are super top heavy

@@zoovaado7759 realistically luffy alone solos the entire BB crew mid to high diff at this point in the story. Luffy is above aokiji right now. after defeating the worlds strongest creature, a fraud who struggled against law isn't not doing shit against him lol chapter 1081: Kuzan casually pulls up to the Blackbeard Pirates' place and singlehandedly no diffs the entire crew lol. If Kuzan did that to the Blackbeard Pirates, imagine what kaido would do. now imagine what luffy who's stronger than kaido would do

I seriously doubt any character can pick up that mountain, rip it off the whole thing and throw it like it's nothing. That's another level. I also doubt Zoro or Luffy could lift it, it's too much in my opinion.

Diamond Jozu did the same without any fruit but I think he was kinda resisting too while on other hand Burgess seems to be very easy and casually throws it around like a toy so yeah that's a great powerup!

@@blue-sb5gn Yes Diamond Jozu is definitely built different, in terms of brute force he's on another level. Burgess is also very strong by nature but with this fruit I'm assuming he'll be superior to Jozu by far, we're yet to see how far he can go.

@@nejiloto Yes, like I said - Diamond Jozu was able to lift it but he had to put some efforts into it and was kinda resisting while on the other hand Burgess did it easily with two hands.

love morj's analyses, but he should think a little bit more sometimes: Bonney was clearly being bounced around VERY fast inside. And the Eddy is pretty far away. So Zoro needed to concentrate, use observation haki, and carefully time and angle his attack perfectly

@henchme976 he hasn't worked in the industry for two seconds. He don't know shit. Toei is not purposefully putting out a lower quality product because they are greedy. If you think like that then you should hear the views of people who actually work in the industry not some random youtuber who can't even draw a straight line.

Van auger bullets being that strong isn't even crazy considering ben beckman threatens kizaru with a gun. There has to be really strong haki infused shots in the verse or sea stone bullets

But shoots at law, a 3 billion bounty pirate, without them so Jean Bart can block it? Van Auger being super strong wouldnt be unreasonable on its own, its that canonically we dont see him shooting with anything special, such that Jean Bart can block it, and then an added scene has him vaporizing things that gear 4 luffy struggled to break. Theres some reasonable headcanons, but its all speculation and not actually implied, and as a result is inconsistent.

This episode was objectively greatly animated. One Piece now has some of the best animation in the industry. Which is cazy. The anime use to be have mid-trash animation quality until a few years ago.

I think they didn't put any dialogue in because of what happened with Bogard. When they animated those page covers back in the day they put the name and a voice to that character. I think that's why Oda hasn't used him after that, because he's considered half filler now and can't use him properly in the manga. Literally botched.

The way Zoro cut the Eddy was directed is kinda hilarious, but I give it a pass since they have to stretch a single chapter into a 20-ish minute episode. I'd rather have a stretched out scene with a ridicilous amount of effort put into it than one with little life given to it at all which was the norm for a long time in the anime.

What???? He’s never showcased Conquerors haki in the series ONCE in anime or manga (“before” this). Regardless, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the anime give bold red lightning to characters that didn’t have CoSK haki though
