For those people who never stepped foot in kitchen some recipes tastes actually better without peeling the garlic. Extra fibre, if you crush them right they usually breakdown too small which once cooked won't even be noticeable plus it adds bonus flavour. And those of you calling it khichdi needs to shut it too. Not everything that has dal n rice in it needs to be termed as khichdi. She used the flavours from rasam to be infused in a one pot meal. Yes i made it several times since I stumbled upon this video and I love it. I personally like to toast jeera, methi seeds before grinding. Also I add a cinnamon bark. It's an art if you wanna peel the garlic go do it. Don't shame the known for your lack of information.
