Spend a few minutes to focus on the skills you want to improve on. For me it is pivot turns and wheelies - for some it may be throttle control or turns. Pick a weak area and work on it a few minutes a each ride. Enjoy this wonderful ride at Cooktoberfest!

Put a Rekluse Torque Drive Kit in and you will be amazed. Super easy install. It's about $100 more than a good replacement clutch kit but worth every penny. Feels like it adds 10 hp of instant bottom end and overall amazing rear bite/grip. Put one in my crf450RX and instantly noticed a huge difference. Don't be Skeerd! 🤙

Yeah, it's much better to have more and more tech on a bike. Engines need fixing right, i mean they didn't get it right, and the Euro 5 recommendations are the future and will continue to move bikes toward better performance AND reliability..... NOT. Hans Neff, riding coach and netra racer i get lessons from has over 500hrs on a stock KTM clutch. The clutches in these bikes are insanely durable with proper care.

Stock on my Beta. I used a Lectron on my KTM and it really helped with fuel efficiency and making the bike responsive, although I felt it leaned it out almost too much. A lean "revvy" bike isn't what I want for the technical riding I do so I actually prefer the stock carb when properly jetted on the Beta.

I’ve have only changed it once on one bike and MIC’ed it, and it really didn’t need it, I currently have 400hrs on mine with two races on it, (the Cord and a 6hr)some wear on the basket but nothing really on the plates themself’s...not tainted!lol

2014 TE300 change the plates at 350 hours. They were still well in spec. Don't worry about them. Leave them until you start to run out of adjustment.

An electric motorcycle like that would honestly be above the competition so much more torque and throttle control. Possibly no clutch necessary to operate and maybe even not a actual transmission

Only major thing that I changed on my clutch is the basket getting grooves and not engaging and disengaging easily but I had 300 hours on it at the time, I replaced the plates at the same time so everything was fresh, biggest thing is check for grooves in basket

heat kills clutches when you start experiencing clutch fade thats when i check it

Usually the clutch basket gets grooved and so it's "grabby" when it shouldn't be. It is hard to wear out the clutch discs though!

Re the electric bike Zach, we (Motorcycle Council of NSW - Australia) did a survey on exactly what you are asking and got some interesting answers, but yes, in general we want everything the same but for the different power-train. One of our questions though, was, do you still want a clutch? Your thoughts?

I got 140h on my 19 exc and messured my clutch plates, they are in perfekt shape. So no need to change as long as u dont notice problems. My friend blew the clutch case and didnt notice untill the plates where uneven, he changend 4 plates and thats it. The clutches on these bikes are so durable its amazing.

Pirelli MT 16. Its a very skinny tire. Get the largest width you can. It is a very stiff tire and work well for these dry conditions. I had a 110 on my YZ 250x. My brother had the 120 as you pointed out in your time stamp. Thr 120 was a similar width to a 110 in other brands of tire

The clutch should be noticeable, if the bike jerks forward(even a tiny bit) when you shift from neutral into first then you should probably check out your clutch plates
