This story hit so close to home! My mom told me in my younger days “some lady at the hospital named you.” I used to wonder why all of my sister’s name FIT and flowed and that was her response. That she could have kept to herself because being the last born it did truly make me feel unwanted. Furthermore, my siblings saying I was found and then being body shamed from early on because they were crack head skinny and I had a little meat on my bones. Goodness those words did truly carry over to adulthood.

We, as BLACK PEOPLE, have to do better by OUR children!!! I've never cried watching an episode of Judge Mathis, but this was heart wrenching. 😢 Her mother passed-her-off as her husband's child, knowing DAMN WELL, she wasn't. She wasn't just cold to her children, she was deceptive! There are no perfect humans, therefore no perfect parents. But WE have to learn from our mistakes as well as the mistakes of others, to improve our family units as a community.

This hurt. I can relate to the plaintiff and many on this thread probably can too. The blessing is the fact that she's a truth seeker and it came out (regardless of time). She's endured a lot growing up and kept her head held high with the support of her sisters. My sister literally just sent me a text while watching this and she said "Hey dear brother and sisters, God is so good you guys." And my response "All the time 🙌🏾." And our family is going through a similar situation, it never changed the love and bond we have with each other. My brother and I always say "We all we got!"

The plaintiff and the defendants will be okay, and closure is the next step to healing and forgiveness Although the results was SAD, I can certainly relate to my being the siblingd who was told they found me in the dumpster, that I need to go look for my real daddy, because I have no resemblance to none of my siblings or dad. I felt and was one neglected & rejected to what i see, feel by our mother. I do all the chores, never get to go places or travel, never had a passport till I was on my own.....so I can definitely relate to the plaintiffs pain/hurts. I asked our mother and like many times dismisses me and changed the topic, or say, child go pick up a book and read or go do this or that, mostly go wash the dishes, even when it wasn't my day to do so.... At the last asking when i was 32 yrs old, my mother got upset and went ifg angrily saying she knows who her children father is and she will go jump in ftint of a truck, dont know why she said that, but it was never brought up to this day. I left it alone and still have a strain relationship with my siblings who are closer to each other rather I. I am okay with this, for I made peace with it many years upin years now to forgive them all and forgive me too, but to always love them, but with boundaries.
