Not long after dear mom died peacefully in her sleep, at 95, (we had cared for her at my sister's home,) she made her presence known to me. I woke up from a deep sleep, literally filled with an energy and glow that was not mine...it was from 'Another Place or Realm"...something I have never felt - before, or since. I did not see my mother physically, but I knew it was her. I also 'knew' that she loved me very much. That she was glad that we looked after her. And that she'd watch over us, always. It was an extraordinary moment...

Are the dead capable of helping the living? I believe that memories of departed loved ones can help guide us along life's journey. This episode took that notion One Step Beyond. Thanks.

I adjusted the brightness as much as I could, but the scenes in the park were still too dark, especially to see the specter of her husband which made her attacker run. Luckily I had seen this episode before, so I knew what had happened there.

But it was very bright. Medical science still doesn't understand how the optic nerve makes a picture in the mind. Perhaps you took a tiny step beyond.

Would love to see Hollywood recreate ''One Step Beyond'' But in order for the series to work it would have to have the following qualities: 1.John Newland as the host...John taped several different intros, so that shouldn't be a problem. 2.The same original music sound track. 3.The same black and white film format, to retain the eerie atmosphere of the show. I believe the show would be a big hit. Are you listening Hollywood?

It was a good story but, it was so blurry and pixely that in the beginning I thought that big black square in the house was a flat screen TV until, I realized it couldn't be! I think it was a fireplace. 😊

The day my mom died suddenly, I had a daydream and was asked if I saw her would I hug her or hit her. My answer was hug her because she's still my mom. Less than 15 minutes later, I got the call she had died. I knew it was my mom having sure we were good.

To answer your question lady: "Why didn't he let me see him?" You didn't see him because you did not need to see him. It was only necessary that Cooper see him! That is why.It seems that when God does cause a miracle to occur He affects only what is needed to get the desired result, no more.

If she'd seen her husband in the park, she never would be able to get over him and move on with her life. Probably lose her mind wanting him to return. (She was foolish/crazy enough already to keep going into the park at night alone!)
@calvinjackson81104 жыл бұрын
I had not thought of that at all! You are right. That was foolish and dangerous of her. But maybe she thought that if she came back to the park her husband would appear again. But still she was putting herself at risk again.

Little Nothing by Joann Flanagan St. Zita,pray for us, So we'll get to Heaven Without a fuss! Syf was your name origonally Till you took service in the House of di Fatinelli. Syf they christened you in your hometown. In Lucca you lost your name and gained renoun. St. Zita,pray for us, So we'll get to Heaven Without a fuss! In the Italy of your day When girlchildren went out to play At their innocent childlike games Folks added "Zita" to their names. St. Zita,pray for us, So we'll get to Heaven Without a fuss! In the di Fatinelli House they showered you with blame. They never called you "Sif" Or "Sifzita", Only Zita as if you had no name- As if you were "Noone" or "Nobodyzita". St. Zita,pray for us, So we'll get to Heaven Without a fuss! It's such a pity You lost your name in the City Of Lucca where you found a job Under conditions that tempted anyone to sob! Would tempt anyone to kill,to rob! St. Zita,pray for us, So we'll get to Heaven Without a fuss! It was Nobodyzita do this! Noonezita do that! Your ignorance is a bottomless abyss, You illiterate hick! You Scullian brat! St. Zita,pray for us, So we'll get to Heaven Without a fuss! Now great folk pray to you, Name their daughters Zita with no great ado , Light candles to you too! St. Zita,pray for us, So we'll get to Heaven Without a fuss! We don't say "St. Zita of Lucca", But rather "Lucca,St.Zita's city." Where she led a hard but holy life, As we request not offer pity. St. Zita,pray for us, So we'll get to Heaven Without a fuss!

+Hans Janssen Sorry, but Twilight Zone is NOT as good as OSB. IMHO, of course, OSB is based on fact, many of the stories are based on facts. Much better than TZ, to me. Take "The Death Waltz". You will like it. Or the one about George Washington. That was based on fact. Every fact was found in history books.

This was a really good story except for a couple of things. First of all it was impossibly dark. Second, Newlands blather about optic nerves and such was idiotic and inappropriate. Oh, yes, one other thing: is it usual for lineup candidates to be dressed in suit and tie?

If I was a woman with a troubled mind the last place i would go to be alone would be a darkened public park. Not now nor back then when this was first filmed. This may be based on a true story but i doubt if the depiction is wholly accurate.
